Needed a mounting block to install my ring floodlight camera. This fit my siding perfect, extremely easy to install and is very strong/durable. I added caulking around the give it extra support and water proofing. Definitely recommend pre-drilling the holes before screwing them in to avoid damaging/cracking your siding.

This is a wonderful time saving product, so happy I found it. It took me less than an hour, start to finish, to install an outside light where there was none. Love it!

My 30-year old vinyl siding seems to have a 1/2" lip, but the main face has a slant that goes from the main face of each piece up towards the piece of siding above. There is a circular, metal junction box beneath the existing "jelly jar" style light that has the hot, neutral, and ground wire in it. Each of these wires is wire capped to the corresponding wire of the old fixture. So...when I held this hexagon "backing device" to my siding, the lip fit; however, I still had a gap underneath this backing device when the siding makes its slant up into the piece of siding above it. Therefore, it defeated the purpose. Where this device fit into the lip, I could use silicone caulk fine around that, but I would have to use some sort of gap filler to fill in the void where it doesn't meet up. I am going to just caulk around my light fixture directly on the siding and call it a day. I think that it is the best I am going to be able to do.

Easy to install and looks great. It looks a lot better and ended up with a better seal than what the home builder used. I used it for a ring floodlight cam. Throw some caulk on the top and sides, leave the drip hole at the bottom open in case any water gets in somehow. Would definitely use again if I put more lights outside.

I used this as a base for EUFY security cameras that we purchased. It make for a sturdier and visually aesthetic installation. Mounts easily over vinyl siding and self-leveling.

I got this to mount a light that didn't have the electrical housing on my sidinf. This works perfect to allow for flush light mount. Definitely recommend this. There is a little gap between siding but fixes with silicone. (To prevent water from getting behind. Only wish there was a built in rubber/ foam on the edges to make it water proof once installed on wall.
