The wheel is made of durable tungsten carbide. Tungsten is a much stronger material than steel. therefore it has a significantly longer life than steel wheels and offer greater and more reproducible penetration in scoring as well as easier opening of the scored glass. It also will last much longer before becoming too dull to make good score. It will also wont oxidize or rust like steel can. The cutting life is over 20,000 meters.

Our Advantages

OIL FEED GLASS CUTTER

Ball-end handle for snapping scored glass

Round metal knocking head, used for knocking glass after cutting or put it under the scratches of glass and split the glass. A rubber gasket on the metal head to prevent oil leaking.

Automated Glass Cutting

Self-oiling

The automatic oil dispensing system will keep the wheel lubricated while you cut. The transparent handle also acts as a reservoir and lets you monitor the cutting fluid level. For beginners, it's hard to control the oil, to avoid the leak, you can just dab the tip in cotton ball or small cloth soaked with oil before scoring your glass without adding oil into the handle.

industrial glass cutter

Heavy Duty Cutter

How to Use

1. Thoroughly clean the glass you intent to cut. Lay the glass on a clean, flat, layered surface. Measure and mark the glass where you wish to cut.

2. Add some oil into the handle, which make the cutting head more fluent when cutting.

3. Hold glass cutter firmly, maintain the same pressure through out the score. Oil will be emitted as you work You can also use a ruler to score the line.

4. Gently tap the glass underneath the line with the metal ball head, and the glass will break along the line neatly.

6. Smooth out any sharp edges.

Notes:

1. Always wear clear safety glasses and protective gloves while cutting.

2. Don’t go back for a second stroke: score it only once in a smooth, even motion.

3. Cold glass is harder to work with. Getting your glass closer to room temperature makes it easier to work with. Not for use with tempered glass.

4. Practice makes a more confident maker

I had several picture frames that needed unusual dimensions. I didn’t want to pay for custom glass. I used some broken pieces of a large picture frame to practice my hand pressure before cutting the large piece of glass for my project. I only needed to cut two sides to trim the dimension. I used the smallest cutter since the plate glass was thin. It scored nicely on all my attempts so I felt confident to cut the glass, with the help of that handle. YouTube had some hints which I’ll share: press hard and listen to the scoring while keeping even pressure without going over the line which will damage the cutting wheel.I cut the glass for this image I took in South Carolina. i made a cardboard template and traced it off onto the glass then taped a “metal level” onto the glass to guide my scoring hand. The level is better than a thin flat rule. This glass had to fit an existing handmade custom matted frame, which wasn’t perfectly even. I was able to use a Dremel to grind the corner of the glass down into the wood inner frame. I suggest butting another piece of glass to the piece that’s being cut so that the score line remains straight. (When the cutter drops off at the end of the glass your hand turns making an angle less/greater than 90 degrees)

I absolutely love this glass cutter! It is so comfortable and fits nicely in my hand, which is the perfect recipe for a crazy cut. You can use this tool with or without the black attachment. I find it ergonomically perfect. At first I had a little trouble with the flow of oil but, with use it flowed just enough to keep the head from going bad. I have always said that tools are VERY important! A solid, good tool will allow the creative juices to flow and make your job a lot easier.

Comfortable grip. Easy to fill. I haven't changed out the head yet so I can't comment on the ease or difficulty of that process.

Arrived broken with a used oil bulb.Obviously used and returned. Very dull wheels that don’t score the glass properly. Not recommended!

Was looking forward to using it but it arrived with multiple stress cracks where it screws together. Looks like it had been used.
