I thought it would fit inside a 3/4 pex. It does, but not through the fittings. Went to 1 inch if and moves freely through the fittings and pipe. Does fit through 5/8 garden hose and fittings as well. Use it in a cabin to provide year around water to the toilet. Cabin is unhealed except when occupied on weekends etc. Just barely installed. Will see how ut works throughout the winter.

The initial in-pipe heat cable unit was defective and YeloDeer responded with a new replacement very quickly and their customer service rep, Demi, followed up through my installation of the new unit which is now operating satisfactorily.

Great idea and wish I could of used it. I am currently running 3/4" pex and the end of the heated hose will not fit thru a 3/4" adapter, tee or fitting. To make it work I would have to do the section I want heated at least 1" and then that defeats the purpose of existing lines to be in use of this hose. Like the concept just didn't work for me. Thank you

Had a frozen pipe at the cottage. this has proven to be an easy installation. Everything needed was in the kit. Easy set up, and it is proving to to the job. our pipes have not frozen since installation. Instructions were very easy to follow and everything was a breeze to do. Everything was as is no surprises. highly recommend this item for all your preventative freezing pipe needs

Installation was easy with one exception - my pipe is 3/4" poly, the listing said it works with 3/4".The problem I had is there is a slight bulge in the wrapped end of the cable which would not pass through any 3/4" fittings I tried. I took the unit with me to the hardware store to ensure I had the correct fittings. My solution was to buy plastic fittings and heated up the connector so that it could be deformed enough to pass the cable through. This seems to have worked well, no leaks and running water in an unheated barn with outdoor temperatures down to -25C.I was a bit concerned if the faucet would stay unfrozen but that has not been a problem. The hose I have connected is a short piece that doesn't reach the floor so it drains completely when I turn the water off. I use it to fill a nearby water trough and buckets to distribute to other locations in the barn.So far this has been a wonderful addition to my barn and makes my life a whole lot easier. Time will tell if it lasts.

Works great even at -32C. Worth the higher price compared to tapes, unless one wants to gamble with a cheaper alternative.
