We bought this as new hot tub owners that wanted to drain the chlorine hot tub and now use bromine. The starter kit has a lot of things that we might not need but as a starter kit is missing the bromine booster you are supposed to put in when refilling the hot tub. This seems like a flaw in a starter kit, yes it seems you can just wait until the bromine tablets take effect but based on the description this can take days/weeks. So now we needed to order a separate bromine booster (sodium bromine) to kick start things. Yes, we could have figured this out before but if it says starter kit it should have everything that is needed to get started. Also as starter kit a more detailed description on how to get started with a new refill and then details on how to maintain would have been nice instead of having to research online.10 test strips is also not really worth while. These also give other results than my other test strips, not sure though which ones are correct.

This has all the things you need to get started with managing a hot tub, all for a better price than I had found for anything else!It was missing the bromine/chlorine tablets, but had everything else that is needed

Honestly, the little sun guy sold me on this kit. All the chemicals worked great, there weren't too many test strips but that's fine. For the price, this kit was a godsend. But time after time again, people are always talking about how much they love the lil smiling sponge guy floating around. Always smilin, keeping the pool clean of... something, not really sure what. I'd honestly buy like 5 of those dudes if that was an option.

Ok, but I should have looked closer at the number of test strips, which I believe is only 10. I thought this kit would keep me supplied at least for a little while, but with that many strips you will need to buy more very soon.
