I have installed two of these on different pieces of yard and garden equipment. Both installations were pretty easy and quick, and both worked fine immediately. Hoping they hold up well over time, so far less than 10 hours on each machine and counting pretty accurately.

These are great for all small engines. I have used several of these now, and they work great. You just wrap the 1 wire tightly around a spark plug wire. It picks up the power pulse, and that's how it records time of use. I have them on my boat motor, lawn mower, chipper/shredder, edger, and Honda generator. All these small motors get maintenance by Hours Operated. So these are no trainers. They last for a long time, but are affordable enough to replace when they die. They are built with a non-replacable battery.User Tips: #1.Buy a bright color for easy location on dark spots of your engine area.#2. Get a small note pad, and dedicate it to your small motor maintenance. Write down servicing of motors by hours, and date. If the hour meter dies, you'll have a record of the hrs.

Missing pickup wire: Used speaker wire.Missing zip ties: Didn’t need them.It worked fine. My new 12kw generator has an hour meter but it resets to zero each time it is started. This one holds the time.

Works flawlessly as well as matches my Honda mower. Easy install as there are many videos out there that demonstrate. Highly recommend.

Ordered Febwan hour meter. It came without a pick up wire. I returned it and ordered a replacement. Replacement came also without a pickup wire. Instructions say you need the pick up wire. Picture shows a pickup wire. Not sure why I keep getting the hour meter with no pick up wire. So again I get to drive to the UPS store to return a $9 item. I’m wasting more time and gas than this product is worth. Febwan says they have online customer service. Well how do you access that? Very frustrating and disappointing.

Used it on my lawn mower to keep track of mower usage. It does what it suppose to do recomend it.
