This carseat insert is perfect for newborns!! The material is very soft, and the strap covering is also soft and comfortable against baby skin. It looks as if it is reversible as well!! I originally ordered it for my 5-month-old thinking it would fit good because she was a preemie, but the head support fit really snugged. Maybe it supposed to fit like that, but it looked like it made her uncomfortable.I would recommend using it up from birth to 3-5 months depending on the size of your baby. But outside of the head support, everything else is perfect!!

This newborn head support is SO useful!! To say it's functional is putting it mildly. It's pretty much a universal shape. It's been used in the car seat, swing, and stroller. It prevents newborns and older infants, from flopping over. It keeps their head in the proper position. It's nice and soft, yet sturdy at the same time. I appreciate the fact that it's machine washable. I love the black color, too. I highly recommend it!(My star rating system: 4 stars met my expectations, 5 stars exceeded my expectations, 3 stars fell short of my expectations, 2 stars significantly fell short of my expectations, 1 star highly suggest not ordering)

Newborn insert review: works great in stroller and swing. Best thing about it is the head support so that babies head doesn’t fall to the side and strain their neck. Have not tried it in the car seat, but was told by pediatrician to not use any car seat insert that didn’t come with your car seat.It is a good size for my newborn and the color is so pretty! Soft fabric and nice and thick. It is a little big but will last until she is maybe up to a year old!
