This fit my Mitutoyo 6" and my Vinca Dcla 12 " calipers. The fit is good and solid. Zeroed calipers on suface plate and they repeated. A little thicker than others.

Fit perfectly on both of my calipers one a starrett and the other a Chinese import. No need to buy the expense option.

The reason for only 3 stars is the incorrect item description product dimensions. I wanted a 4" base. The INSIZE 6140 Depth Base Attachment I received measures 3" X 1.2" X .250 (Width X Height X Thickness) S/N # 301208249. It is basically a 3 inch base, and not the 4.2" base the description states. Other than that the quality is good. Made In China!

it is well made and it works, but i found it difficult to use due to the angled feet (can't press down firmly to keep the depth stick parallel. the slot is a bit too shallow as well. i wound up going with the fowler model.

Does not attach to my caliper in a secure fashion. Clamping surfaces are at right angles. Should have dovetail to lock properly on the caliper beam. Otherwise seems well made.
