Now, we launch this tire tread depth gauge. It's a simple tool constructed out of a stainless steel barrel with plastic/aluminum metal end and sliding gauge. Suitable for measuring the degree of wear of tire surfaces, it can let you regularly monitor tire tread levels of your car, make driving safer. Design with metal pocket clip for easy carry. Pocket-sized gauge will not take up space. Perfect for trucks, motorcycles, automobiles and any passenger vehicle.

The tire tread gauge calibrated from 0 to 1inch, reads in 32nds, make it easy to know your tire situation:

- Range: 0 - 3/32nds (Dangerous: Need To Be Replaced)

- Range: 3/32 - 6/32nds (Warning: Be Careful When Driving, Need To Be Replaced When Snowstom Or Raining)

- Range: 6/32 - 32/32nds (Tire Safe)

HOW TO USE?

- 1. Push the measuring scale into the gauge as far as it will go.

- 2. Place the probe into the center of a circumferential tire groove and push down on the gauge's base.

- 3. Carefully remove gauge by holding its barrel (without touching the probe) and confirm the tread depth reading.

- 4. Place the probe into additional locations around the central circumferential tire groove at least 15 inches apart and repeat.

- 5. Place the probe into the inner and outer circumferential grooves and repeat.

- 6. Average all readings.

- 7. Identify the percentage of tire wear by confirming the tire's original/new tread depth in its specs compared to the remaining tread depth just measured.

- 8. If uneven tire wear is identified, have the vehicle checked by a reputable tire specialist.

It is quite simple to use if your car’s tire is easily accessible. On my 2022 Honda Civic access to 100% of tire tread would require a repetitive measure- move rotation. But most people will settle for one measurement and hope the tire wear is uniform across the tread.

I bought this to keep a check on my wife's tires as they neared the end of the tread life. It works well to let you know how low your tread is getting. The indicators are a little small, and are difficult to read in low-light conditions, but that isn't a deal breaker. The measurements match what the tire shop gave me after measuring the tread, so I feel good that it is accurate. Not sure about the long-term durability, but they are cheap enough to replace as I monitor my other two car's tread life.
