Great little device. Super easy to use and accurate. Very easy to clean. The perfect addition to my kitchen

I feel like this was a good value. It has not only the thermometer right attached to it, but also the one that you can use in the oven with the long wire. I used it to gauge the temperature of a roast I made, and it was right on the money. My roast came out perfect

This surprised me by having the batteries included. I like that it also has the wired probe, so you can check what's in the oven without opening the door. Very happy with the cost, too.

I have several digital meat thermometers that I have purchased over the years and I have never found one that works like I expect and I have not been real happy with any of them. One of them is a pretty expensive one that was supposed to be one of the best around. However, it will give me very different readings like + or - by as much as 5° to 10° which makes it totally unusable. I saw this one and read that it was capable of reading as high as 572° which makes this usable for a full range of uses. My wife is a Christmas candy making expert/nut (!) and it requires real precision on pretty high temps for some types of candy. We set up a test between this one and her best candy thermometer (which has been calibrated with a Fluke temperature immersion probe) and it was spot on using either the built in probe or the extension probe. I then tried it on a chicken we were baking and it read real close to my old analog thermometer that has always been real reliable. So overall, I think I can trust this to be accurate when I need it. It has a nice large, very readable display with backlight and overall feels very well built. It is a bit larger than my others but I find that I am actually preferring that. It uses an easy to change CR2032 battery which is the most common coin cell type and I keep a few on hand for all kinds of other devices like our cars key FOBs so that works out well. And having the option of either a built in probe or the extension probe is super useful. I do a lot of meat smoking and sometimes I have more than 1 item in the smoker that I need to monitor and my smoker only has 1 built in probe so being able to use this on a second roast or whatever will come in handy. My only suggestion would be that they include some sort of case or pouch to store it in and it would be nice if it had a clip that would clip on a pan and hold the extension probe for make candy or monitoring the temp in a sauce or whatever that requires a close watch on the temp. Not a deal breaker though. I would gladly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a good temp probe.
