Urine Odor Remover FAQ's:

· How do I use Stink Free Urine Odor Remover? Stink Free Instantly Urine Odor Remover is a LEAVE-IN product. Just apply and allow it to air dry - DONE. Quick to apply, easy to use. Be sure to saturate an area wider than the surface stain. Urine is absorbed both horizontally and vertically, in a pyramid-like pattern which makes the contaminated area below the surface larger than the surface stain.

· What makes Stink Free Instantly Urine Odor Remover so effective? Stink Free Instantly Urine Odor Remover uses an aggressive, fast-acting OXIDATION formula that eliminates all urine odors, including those only pets can smell. It eliminates both the odor and its source by breaking down and changing chemical compounds into odorless, inert substances. It is NON-TOXIC, powerful and fast-acting.

· What is OXIDATION? This oxidation process is the same proven, odor-control process used by both government and industry (water treatment, waste water treatment, food processing and many other applications) where biological contamination and odor are serious problems. Stink Free backs up the oxidation process with an integrated system of odor neutralizers that track and destroy odor molecules for thorough and permanent odor removal. This oxidation process works, even where other processes, such as enzymes, fail. Oxidation works even on areas that have already been treated with enzymes. Enzyme odor removers are fragile, unstable, and take time to work. Enzymes deteriorate with age and when they are not maintained at moderate temperatures. Enzyme odor removers ONLY work within certain Ph ranges and will not work effectively when that pH range is disturbed, and often smell bad while they are working.

· How long does it take Stink Free's oxidation process to work? Stink Free Instantly Urine Odor Remover works instantly, removes urine odor completely when used as directed, smells good while it is working, and urine odor is permanently eliminated.

· Can I use Stink Free Instantly Urine Odor Remover even after I have tried other products that failed? Stink Free’s stable system of oxidation and odor remover are safe and work even after other products have been tried and failed. It works even after enzymes and other cleaning systems have been tried. It is not subject to slight variations in pH and temperature, and it is shelf-stable under normal conditions.

· Why do the instructions say NOT to use Stink Free Instantly Urine Odor Remover in a spray bottle applicator? Use Full Strength – DO NOT DILUTE. Your pet SHOOTS hot urine (over 100 degrees) down into your carpet or upholstery so that it quickly spreads out underneath the carpet or down into the upholstery. Urine is absorbed both horizontally and vertically, in a pyramid-like pattern which makes the contaminated area below the surface larger than the surface stain. Surface spraying will NOT sufficiently reach and neutralize the deep contamination. Stink Free Urine Odor Remover may be effectively used in a spray bottle for hard surfaces that are water-stable and color-fast.

· Which version should I use - for pets or cats - or do I need to buy both? Both versions of Stink Free Instantly Urine Odor Remover remove ALL KINDS urine odor thoroughly and completely when used as directed. Deodorizers dog urine, cat urine, small pet urine, and even removes HUMAN urine odor. It’s great for little kids just learning, geriatric care and other special needs.

· Can I use Stink Free Instantly Urine Odor Remover even after I have shampooed my carpet? Yes, it is safe and EFFECTIVE to use Stink Free Instantly Urine Odor Remover even after cleaning or shampooing your carpet or upholstery. You can also use it before shampooing, so that it can reach down into the under layers of the carpet or upholstery where urine odors hide. Be sure to allow Stink Free Instantly Urine Odor Remover time to do its work for greatest effectiveness before shampooing.

This stuff is what I've been looking for my whole life! I've always had cats, so have always kept a lookout for the best cleaners and odor-killers for accidents, and I finally found a winner.Decided to get this after I read a private cat shelter-owner recommend it (if anyone would know, they would, right?). It definitely works, and isn't just temporary, like many other methods and products I've used that seem to nix the stink for a few days or a week only to have it return again. Our cat announced he had a UTI (FLUTD) by peeing on our mattress. Our :mattress!: We weren't present when it happened, so it had been there for at least a few hours by the time it was found. My husband cleaned it up very, very thoroughly...but given it hadn't been caught immediately, we wanted to make sure that we got as deep into the material as possible. I couldn't smell urine outright after the cleaning had dried and aired, but it didn't smell :clean: either. Even a day after it was cleaned, the cat went to the spot to sniff awhile multiple times, whether because of urine smell or Biokleen smell, I don't know. The standby of white vinegar and baking soda for odor would not do for this obviously, and I wanted to make sure that beyond cleanliness that the cats wouldn't smell it even if I couldn't, to prevent any weird marking behavior, which one has shown tendency to do in the past after the site of a puppy's accidental piddle on our carpet became his favorite rebel urinal. Needless to say, I did not want my side of the mattress becoming the new rebel urinal. This totally worked. I was skeptical about pouring something on and just leaving it there, but it really did work. Didn't need to use much of it either. It is a clear liquid, barely thicker than water if at all, and doesn't produce suds, so a little goes a long way quickly. It sat for a bit, air dried (left the window open to facilitate that). It's been about two months now, and it's like the accident never happened, and there have been no attempts by the cats to go there again, not even curiosity about the scent...because there isn't any! This stuff also works really well on plastic. After our little guy got diagnosed and continued to go outside the box on blankets and our sheets (caught him in the act those times luckily!) he was "quarantined" in our old dog kennel. Lucky for us, our dog was giant breed, so the cat had the king suite of boarding kennels to keep him from making further mess. We completely changed out his litter and sanitized his box every couple days or so to knock out bacteria, using the Stink Free on the litter box itself as a last step after initially cleaning it. That box has never smelled so clean, even when it was off the shelf, and we've had it a few years now with plenty of use. We also used the Stink Free on the whole floor of the kennel to keep away any staleness or dirty litter smell, and that was fantastic too. It too smelled better than when we cleaned it after storage. The scent of the Stink Free never once upset or deterred our three cats from any of their spaces (if anything, they seemed extra happy after examining the freshness), nor did it bother myself or my husband, who has relatively bad nasal allergies and sensitivities. In fact, it smells quite fresh, and has been only very temporary each time we've used it. In hunting for reviews online, it seems that people suggest it has an ammonia-like smell... I have no idea how. Perhaps if the area is not quite initially cleaned well enough, the ammonia in the cat's urine mixes with the product's scent if it gets scrubbed/agitated or something, but we did -not- have this experience, so I can't say what it's like if the area isn't sanitized beforehand. The scent itself, to me, is just as if a basic pet shampoo and a dryer sheet fused together in a 1:2 ratio for scent. Completely innocuous. Fresh-breezy good. Even if I put my nose above the open bottle alone and take a whiff, it is not strong. No eye-watering pungency, no chemical throat/nasal sting. I don't have to hold my breath when I use it. Utterly forgettable in the best way.Really big bottle too! We've used this stuff a lot after a different cat had some health problems and the nastiness that goes with (non-urine! It worked then too!), and I don't even need to consider reordering yet, but when I'm out, I'll definitely be reordering it.

After trying many odor eliminators. I found this one and it truly works. My cat was urinating in the basement bc of a UTI on the cement floor and all I needed to do was spray this on the floor where he urinated and it takes out the smell totally. My basement smells so much better now with the urine odor gone. It doesn't stop him from urinating, but a least i can keep the smell at bay. Definitely worth getting this!

After many years of pet ownership and trying various brands, I found this brand several years ago and have been sticking with it ever since. I would warn anyone with sensitivities however, it has an extremely strong deodorizing scent while wet; hard to describe, but the fragrance is almost overwhelming, somewhere between perfumey and detergent-like. BUT: It works, so I keep buying it despite the strong scent. It doesn't just mask the urine odor either, it genuinely seems to eliminate it and once the product dries the odor isn't overwhelming anymore and the urine smell is gone. I have a senior-aged kitty who suffers from Urinary Tract Disease and he goes outside the box when it's acting up and he's in discomfort. I've tried many other brands offering various promises and none that I've tried work as well as this. You pour it on the stain and leave it to dry, very easy. It warns to test for color fastness but I've never had any issues with it on surfaces or fabrics. I particularly like it for my unfinished hardwood floors because it's otherwise impossible to clean into the floor boards with any degree of success when cat urine odor is involved. So I just pour this in the cracks and leave it. As a further testament, just this last week I ran out and of course that's when my cat had an accident. After scrubbing and scrubbing I thought I might have to throw away my area rug because I could still smell it and it had dried days before my order for this bottle arrived. But sure enough, I poured it on the area where the urine odor was still strong and now it's gone, so it apparently works great even if the stain isn't fresh.

Oh my goodness - I wonder if this comes by the gallon! I've used many urine odor removers, and this just shot to the top of the list. I applied it to painted concrete with a couple of days of pee, and instantly, there was no odor - not even a tracer. All that I smelled was a sort of mild cleaning product smell that went away quickly. It also seems to get rid of the scent for cats as well, as there has been no additional peeing in the area (thank goodness) during the week and a half since I used it. I also put some on the mat they step onto outside the litter box (one of those plastic/rubber mats with little tangled "threads" to trap the litter), and let it sit in the crevices, and no peeing there either. Some other products were ok, but this has been the best at stopping re-peeing. I haven't had to tried it on anything fabric yet (area rugs), but I'd feel comfortable putting this on little rugs where I don't mind a bit of color changing - if that were to happen. Even if it turns out to only work on hard surfaces, this will be in my cabinet as a fantastic tool.

I had a very stubborn cat urine stain/smell on my brand new mattress that I couldn't get out for months. I tried every product on the market. I read a review that it works on old stains, so that prompted me to buy it. Much to my surprise - IT ACTUALLY WORKED. I completely saturated the area, let it sit for a few hours. I propped up the mattress from the box spring with books and ran a fan on it to dry. The perfumey scent was a bit strong, so I also put a fan in the window to filter it out. It's been a week, the perfumey scent is very mild, but the urine smell is completely gone. I'm so happy and relieved. It was a very expensive mattress!!
