If you need a low profile fan for the 115x chipset this is a solid choice. It's intel so the quality is there. Obviously there are better choices if you don't have any restraints on cooler size but for my use it was perfect. The price was excellent at $10. Very happy with the stock cooler.

In upgrading an old lga1150 board with a new cpu, the original, hard working fan didn’t like getting put out and back in again, which found me in need of a new cooler. Disassembling the whole thing to get a new fan backplate for a newer style cpu cooler was too much of a chore, so this oem fan fit the bill. Even though it looks smaller due to copper core, it’s the same height as the original one. Noise profile is similar to the original and not obtrusive until it spins to max.

This fan/heatsink was the first that I've ever had to install myself and while the product did not have any additional instructions or information with it's packing slip, it was a very easy task to complete. While I do not plan on replacing this for a while, the process of installing and even removing this fan was simple enough to encourage me to look into additional CPU fans.The fan is quiet and so far has ran without issue, only problem I saw with this, was that I did not like the thermal paste which was already placed on the heat sink. Upon removing the fan from the cardboard, I could see there was no type of protection on the paste, so I replaced it with some I previously purchased.

As a relatively inexpensive, but heavily relied upon feature for my new computer, I am quite pleased with this fan’s performance. It does keep my i7 cpu in an acceptable temp range without all the bells and whistles of some expensive hardware.
