Your cart is empty.The Intova Fiber Optic Cable is an easy velcro attachment for slave strobe activation. Particularly useful in ultra clear water where light from internal (on camera) flash can dissipate rapidly and not activate slave strobe. The fiber optic cable is connected between an Intova PX21 strobe and a camera (by placing Velcro pad on the waterproof housing in front of or near the on-camera flash) attached to Intova's mount system. The cable can also be used with most other brands of waterproof strobes on other mount systems.

new to underwaterphotography,i never knew anything about these- easy to install, and make sure you get the one that comes with other"pads" to block the exposed extra sensors of the lights..i dont know why some Intova products come with instrunctions, and some dont, but intova does make a good underwater camera!

I used the fibre optic cable on a Pro Digital flash for an underwater camera system.To date, the camera and cable have been taken on appx. 50 saltwater/freshwater dives and have performed as expected without incident. However, as a precaution, I did attach the cable mask to the camera housing using marine epoxy to ensure it would not be dislodged during vigorous use.

When I hid the camera's flash under my hand so the slave was not triggered by ambient flash, the slave only fired occasionally. I need to work on the position of the sensor on the camera. It might help a little, but not like an electrical trigger cable.

My Intova ISS 2000 strobe works great with this cable. Very reliable firing every time. Why 4 stars then? I think they would've hit it out of the ballpark if the cable was slightly longer. It's not really limiting my flash right now with the current length, but at least 2" longer would've been nice.
