The wire was a good quality copper cable. The lug crimps were not always strong enough to keep the cable from coming loose. This maybe because of the type of crimper I was using. However, soldering the crimps solved the problem. The shrink tubing could have been a little larger, because it took some effort to install it over the crimp. Once installed, the shrink tubing did a good job of stiffening the crimp joint to keep the crimp in place and less susceptible to bending or kinking.

Cables in this gauge can be a bit pricey and all those these are not cheap by any means they are fairly priced. Everything worked great using them. I did notice the material shielding the wire was not exceptionally durable compared to some of the other wire I’ve purchased in the past, but it’s held up well enough for my application. No real complaints.

So I ordered this kit because I wanted to upgrade some old ground wires on my vehicle and came across this. Glad that I spotted it because I feel like it offers a great value for the price and what it comes with!

Insulation is very stiff and there is a gap between insulation and wire.
