Excellent USA-made tool with sharp cutting edges. Easy to start with hand-held tap handle or crescent wrench. It's a tad pricey, but high quality items usually are. Time is money, and you'll be glad you skipped the Chinese stuff.

Works verry good for the money, ime using it to tap a couple holes in a cast iron cylinder head and have no complaints for my use.

The tap arrived in the little plastic bag that the manufacturer had shipped/packaged it in. The tap was not protected from damage to the threads and the lead cutting edges do appear to have some shiny/blunted edges. I am not using the tap professionally, I am going to use it maybe once or twice in my life (chase the threads in a kohler k321 engine exhaust port) and it will meet my needs. I also know that the tap was economically priced however, one would think that it would have shipped in a cardboard tube to protect the threads.

Used it to tap some 1/4" aluminum, works great for that!
