Works great for frame checks , and writing on lumber. Longer lasting than a marker, though not as bold as a fat sharpie.

Purchased to take the place of the used up crayons for my daughter's "Fashion Plates." they don't sell refills for those. It does not fit in the holder, but the shape makes it easy to hold onto. I cut them in half to fit the area for rubbing. For our purposes, it's a great crayon and the quality and size are perfect.

I tried to use this on textured plastic plant tags as a pro grower told me this was the move for the tags not to fade out in the sun, to use crayons instead of markers. These did not write on the plant tags at all.

Great product, exactly what I was hoping for. I use it for woodcarving purposes and it writes well on most wood surfaces including bark.

Was expecting this to work without issue, but it does not mark well on wet / freshly-milled lumber.Very waxy, works fine on dry lumber, but the reality of when i need to use the crayon will have me looking for it to work in conjunction with lumber that has just been milled and is not generally "dry". For $1.xx investment, it's not a huge deal...i will still make use of it somewhere, but will have to replace with a softer wood crayon that will meet my more immediate needs.
