Pros:construction , Pickups, heel carve, neck, looks and finish, Nice Frets, bone nut, PriceCons:There are some very minor finish imperfectionsThis thing is INCREDIBLE value, its a cheap guitar but it doesn't feel, sound or play like a cheap guitar this thing is amazing. and honestly the looks are excellent, better than in the pictures for sure. IYV has a long history if making amazing guitars at an amazing price but this one might very well be the best I've tried yet. I Love modding cheap guitars IYV is one of the rare brands that I usually don't have to do much if anything to them. The frets are finished nicely, the heel carve makes access so much nicer, its not too heavy, it rivals my SGs for playability. The pickups genuinely sound vintage very nice crisp and sweet cleans but they have enough bite to give you a heavy rock tone if you want it. I would say it will chug but not very well that's why 4 stars for versatility. it's not a metal guitar, if you want that you'll have to do a little modding, ie switch out the pickups to something hotter. but for everything else this thing is unbelievable. especially for the price but honestly I've paid exponentially more for guitars and not been this impressed. BUY IT you wont be disappointed.PS: Being a metal guy myself the setup is a little high for me but its probably "standard" action. i just like it lower. that's a 5-10 min fix for me. though i'll probably change the strings and oil the fretboard while i'm at it..

First, I won’t pretend this is in the same league as a Gibson. It is a good knock around guitar though. The one I received had a few finish issues, but the intonation was spot on and the action was set low with no fret buzz. The pick ups are decent, probably on par with a mid grade Epiphone. The body is very light, lighter than a weight relief Gibson. Overall a good player and a great value for the price point.

My IYV-ILS300-0 came in today. This is my second IYV. Im growing to love these guitars. Ok so as my other reviews of IYV products I start with the packaging. And that is my only problem and as my other it arrived in fantastic shape. Ok moving on. This LP is breath takingly beautiful It is the ocean blue model although I do favor the sun burst. No booboo's from shipping at all. Tuners seem to be smooth and the neck is straight. The action could be a bit closer but its livable for now. I may have that done later. The finish is like glass and silky smooth. Didn't take much to bring it up to tune and even through one of my smaller amp's it sounds wonderful. I am sold on IYV guitars and if your looking for one check them out you will be glad you did.

The blue on this thing is gorgeous. Absolutely love it. Iyv puts out some really good Good quality guitars for the price. Let me emphasize that again FOR THE PRICE. I didn't really care about the electronics or the nut because I planned on changing those. Love the slim neck on this thing and I'm not really a Les Paul player. However, I do really enjoy playing this guitar. Not sure how you drill a hole in the side of the nut but this nut even though it's what I believe is to be bone definitely is kind of wonky. The overspray is not really a big deal. It doesn't bug me or affect my playability. The action and intonation seem to be okay. Being that the humidity is different on the other side of the world where it came from. So in my opinion, if you're able to do a basic setup or get one for relatively inexpensive, this is a really cool guitar. Other than the nut and some over spray everything else seems to be fine on it. So let me emphasize this again for the price, I think it's a really awesome guitar with a lot of potential. May not be for everybody but for me I'm happy with it and it didn't break my bank account.

still a good guitar for the price, BUT not as well-made as the green color full heel version. On the full-heel version, the neck is 3 piece vertically glued, which mades a strong neck and strong heel. However, this version has a horizontal glued 2 piece heel, and one piece neck, which is also ok, but the one I received the two piece were not glued well at the heel, the glue surfaces was not planed perfect flat leaving a crack even after putting on a thick layers of finish. So I returned it. I would buy this guitar again if IYV go back to 3 piece neck with this new model. The top is beautiful, intonation is perfect out of box. No dead fret. BTW the body wood is not mahogany, it's PAULOWNIA, very light but strong wood(but a bit softer). Gibson also make les paul with it, but sells for much more.

I have bought a number of guitars from IYV, and this one, like the others, is a great value! Some of the hardware used is not the greatest (for example, the tuners are good but not what you would find on an expensive guitar), but if this bothers you, it's quite easy to replace them. These IYVs, in general, are fine guitars and perfect for students or guitarists that want to add a good guitar to their arsenal that's not worth a fortune. If something happens to this guitar, naturally it's not nearly as worrying as an expensive guitar.Note that the shipping boxes are not the best, but I've had no issues. You may find some imperfections in the finish or otherwise, but as inexpensive as these are, it's not a big deal.So in summary, I recommend these IYVs. It's a deal that can't be beat.

This is my second IVY/IYV guitar. My other one is the double cut IP-350 which I really like. For the money you really can't beat these guitars. The blue flame on the LP is much lighter than in the listing pic and it looks really nice. It was actually set up really well out of the box. As usual the strings aren't that good and like all my guitars I slapped on a new set of D'addario 10-46's. A new set of fresh strings makes a big difference. The frets are good, comfortable neck, not too heavy and well balanced. The only thing I might do is replace the stock tuners which aren't bad with a set of locking ones. Just a personal preference as I prefer those for quick string changes.

Bought for my son for his birthday and he is very happy with this guitar. It sounds good and looks nice. It was blue like the image showed (noticed some reviews said it wasn't the same color as image, ours was) for the price the sound is good.

Purchased this in very good condition. Good stock pickups, had to be cleaned up, new strings, set it up and good to go! I have had to do more to guitars 3 to 4 times the price. Very good guitar for the money, can’t go wrong, buy it!

I purchased this as a warehouse deal. It had the dreaded "like new" description. Once again, this was fairly far from reality. There were two scratches on the top which I have thus far been unable to remove. But the biggest issue was the condition of the frets. I removed the strings and cleaned and polished all of them and conditioned the extremely dry fretboard. They were tarnished, rusty and generally in pretty rough shape. The plastic on the pick guard had not been removed thankfully, but they were a million scratches on it so the guitar had been really well played before it was returned. It's all good now though and the colour is really stunning! It's a nice Les Paul style guitar that looks great and plays okay. Another plus is that the mahogany body makes this guitar lighter than most. Perhaps the most neck and back friendly Les Paul I own. I have an Agile that is an absolute anchor. I now provide accommodation to three IYVs and find they offer a lot while not breaking the bank.

I am in love with this thing. I'm so glad the other reviews didn't lie, and I actually got what was promised. This thing is beautiful and has distinct tone differences between the pickups. It sounds like a LP. I got a newer model with the new heel/neck cutaway and I love it. Smooth frets, 0 buzz, low action out of the box. I might replace parts down the line but for me it's fine how it is! I have barely played any other guitars since I got this one.
