This extension works so well, making it very easy to charge my car. Very thick cable, and good-feeling plastic connectors on each end. It comes in a very nice suitcase and has rubber caps to protect it from bad weathering. Great price for performance, and comes in a neat package. love these.

I needed this cable as the Level 2 charger cable isn't long enough for me. What is interesting to note is the Level 2 charger cable is of a heavier gauge wire. This cable connects and delivers. There are covers for the connectors on both ends and those are nice being made of silicone rubber and are tethered to the cable so not likely to loose it. I like that it came with a bag to store it in and the plastic wrap on the cable itself I haven't removed , it is easy to keep it protected from the crap on the street.The product delivers and thats all there is to say.I generally never review products but in this case I wanted to let it be known.

I wanted to wait a little and use it for about a month before I wrote a review. As far as build quality it seems pretty decent, I have a 50 amp charger installed and the cord for the charger is slightly thicker than the 50 amp extension cord. Not sure if it’s truly rated for that much since it’s not really code for cords over 25 feet. I charged at a lower amp just in case. It’s pretty plug and play. And fit my current cord perfectly. It’s compatibility with the J1172 chargersThe only compliant I have it that sometime it doesn’t “read†the cord in and I’ll have to unplug and plug back into the car. Which is why I’m rating it a 4 instead of 5.It’s a does serve its purpose of charging at a longer distance though but sometimes it’s hit or miss so functionally it’s at like a 90% hit rate.Edit: After about a month of use the car does not detect the charger anymore and just assumes it is not there. Looking at the other reviews that are lower this seems to be a common problem. Would not recommend.

Plug-and-play. It works exactly as advertised and desired.This plugged firmly into a J1772 charger (from Lectron) with a satisfying snap. I needed the added length since my charger is inside the garage and the vehicle sits outside. Removing the connector is easy and straight forward; grip it, push the top button your thumb (click), and pull. There is an included rubberized contact cover to keep out water and debris, that you must put on manually.As anticipated, the cable is not lightweight, but it is not onerously heavy.NOTE that this is NOT the charging extension cable you want for commercial DC fast, or DC ultra-fast charging stations, where they use an additional 2 conductors not found on this cable.

This is a solid way to extend a EV charging cable. Where my level 2 charger exists in my garage and where my car sits to charge are not quite close enough to use the existing infrastructure. This connects right to my level 2 cable with a click. Then I have all the extra cable I need to reach my vehicle or a visitors if needed. This has not impacted the speed of charging. This does work with an adapter to plug depending on your vehicle charging port requirements. This is the same quality as the charging station equipment.

2 months ownership , so far so good, wiring cord remains flexible at minus 15 Celsius , connectors still in good condition, fast shepping, would buy again.

The product quality speaks for itself. But you know what makes it a huge home run, the customer service. I sent a question asking about something and within 12 hours had a response (perhaps quicker). That usually doens't happen. I trust this brand and these folks enormously.

Had product and used a lot to reach plug at home far from car. Always worked, no heat, cord quality is nice. Keep in mind it's 32amp rating.

les connecteurs j1772 semblent de bonne qualité le fil est assez gros pour fournir 40 ampères et 40 pieds de long il fonctionne parfaitement mais je l’ai retourné car il est vraiment trop rigide il est très dur à rouler et quand ont le roule il fait des waves
