It does what it says. It looks good and made of metal. Sturdy and easy to install. The port that hold the plug that goes into your car is made of plastic, which is sufficient to hold it in place. The section of the charger that goes from the 240v outlet into the brick gets really hot. So it’s nice to have something to keep it away from touching anything. It does not come with instructions, so if you’re not handyman savvy, you will have to YouTube how to install. You will need a 5/16 drill bit so that the wall anchors can go in without a lot of pressure. Try to get the square cage/mount as close as possible so that the brick is touching the bottom of the mount. This will help support it over time and gravity not pulling as hard on the plug. It comes with a small trim that goes along the bottom of the mount. Took me a minute to figure that out. But hey, no instructions. Outside of that, it works great and is sturdy. We unplug the cable from the brick when not charging. It can be a little tricky to maneuver, so you may need to slightly bend the cable.

My BMW i4 electric vehicle came with a Flexible Fast Charger. The brick of this charger is heavy and tends to tug hard on the electric plug. The cable itself is thick, rigid and not easy to handle. This wall mount kit fixed these issues. It includes a metal holster for the heavy charger brick that takes the weight off the outlet. It also includes a sturdy wall bracket for holding the heavy electric wire.To install this kit, I needed to drill a few holes into my garage wall, which is made of bricks and concrete. I ordered a hammer drill from Amazon with a concrete bit, and this made the job easier than I expected. The installed holster and cable mount feel sturdy and secure.The only issue I had is that the rigid outlet cord kept leaning back into the car's path when unplugged. To solve this issue, I put two screws in the wall around the cord and ran a wire between them to prevent the cord and plug from leaning over and stay close to the wall.NOTE: The kit includes a J1772 charger plug that you can use to hold the charging end, but I didn't use this as my charger end has a rubber cap to cover it while not in use, so this piece was unnecessary for me.

Upon opening the box and unwrapping the protective plastic I found that the unit I was delivered had several pre-existing gouges in the finish. It seemed like it had been previously used. Worried that the unit would rust through these gouges, I immediately returned it.
