The plastic covers were a perfect fit for my original vents and the hinge replacement part went right on just like the original, would have been nice if they came with the weatherstrip replacement but those are sold seperately. Better than redoing the whole mounting plate and all that. Decent price too, easy install, highly recomend.

Worked great for a replacement for the Heng roof vent, that crumbled to pieces, on my cargo trailer.Easy to assemble and install.Like it better with the nuts and bolts rather than the pop rivets of others.Added a couple coats of Gorilla Glue Clear rubberized patch and sealant spay to maybe protect it from the baking sun uv rays.Hopefully last a bit longer? We will see....

We live in our RV full time and from Texas. So we just went though a huge hailstorm that destroyed out vent covers. The cheapest we found for some one to repair them was over $1000. That is just to expensive IMO. So I thought I would try these just on a whim. Super happy I did.One thing I did not think about was needing to get on the roof of the RV. Because the metal bar in the middle means you have to place this on the outside. I did remove the old hardware on the old vent covers from the inside. And managed to toss the old covers off the roof from the inside. But soon realized the hinge on the back of the covers has to slide on the outside. Lucky enough the makers of this RV were pretty lazy so they did not clip in the taps on the huge of the old covers. Which meant I could slide them off then slide them on. The only issue was getting the new ones up on the roof to do this. Easy fix: I just took a roll of yarn I already had and hooked a binder clip on the end and tossed it out the vent opening. Then went outside and clipped the binder clip to the new vent cover. Once back inside I simply pulled the new vent cover up with the yarn until it reached my vent opening then unclimbed the yarn and clip. (Like redneck fishing really). Then slid the hinge part on the vent opening, placed all the screws back. Tada! Vent covers replaced and no more leaks during the rain. And I did it without having to access the roof at all. $950 in my pocket that I saved so is this product worth it? Most definitely! Highly recommend.
