This is my 3rd 12" JBL sub over many years. I'm not enough of an audiophile to distinguish between high end and low end subs, but I've set up 4 home theater rooms over the years, and can say this is a great sub from a great brand.Subwoofers aren't that complex. They all have similar features these days. What I care about is that it produces sound down to the bottom of human hearing, and that you can feel it. This sub checks both of those boxes. With a 12' driver and 500 watts of power, how can it not! It has an understated black box design, and the cover hides that strange white driver well.

I love this subwoofer. It is actually way too loud for the room size but thats fine with me. I had to clean the output plug on my old receiver to get a good connection and also turned up the volume. Amazing bass!!

This sub is great. It is a little big and takes up a decent amount of space. Crossover and volume can both be tuned with a dial. Once configured to your liking, it can supply a great amount of bass to your setup.

It a good value for the money and looks good. The power supplies installed on early versions of this subwoofer had issues inadequate filtering leading to hum. The JBL Stage 120 seems to be a much better design.

This is what I would consider an above average woofer, reasonably priced and my Family Great room is 19' x 30', and it is more than adequate for most listeners. I am a little disappointed because it does not have much volume a sub-sonic levels, but truth be told when I adjusted the frequency at around 1200 hz as cutoff the volume was more than enough. My son complained that the house was rattling while he was studying and his bedroom is on a separate floor and a separate wing of the house. I like volume and disco- My system is a 5.1 and then I added this sub-woofer, sounds just like the movies. When I listen to modern movies with the sound tracks using pop music it sounds great. I would sum it up as Great sound for what you are paying.

I've turned into quite the basshead over the last few months, couldn't tell you what started it all, but this sub just ended my search. I have listened to SVS subs, KEF subs, all the stuff the elitist audiophiles on reddit recommend, and this one is right there with the best of the best. It doesn't miss a beat, the sound is crystal clear with no distortion of any kind. JBL nailed this one.

I have been patiently to receive this 500w JBL. First I received it, the subwoofer input port didn't not work. I sent it back and just to get another defective one. I have a special even that I need this subwoofer and now I have to run around to find subwoofer for this weekend. I can't even rate this subwoofer. I can only rate my experience with it that it wasn't pleasant. Although, the Amazon representative was pleasant and easy to work with. It was a disappointment. The overall rating is a 1, it because of the CSR.

I'm a JBL fan. When you buy a JBL product it will last a long time. My 4312 Monitors I bought 35 or 40 years ago are still my favorite speakers and they look and sound the same now than they did new. We bought the sub-woofer to hopefully make our new Home Theatre Room feel like we're at the movies. We had about half the room raised up one step to make it feel like we're sitting in two rows of a movie theatre and the JBL Stage 120 made it happen. It was easy to hook up: (1) run a 10 foot RCA cable from the receiver SUB OUT to the subwoofer. (2) plug the power cord into a 120 volt outlet. (3) set the subwoofer level control to about three-quarters to allow a little + or - adjustment after the system is balanced. (4) using the microphone supplied with the receiver, run the receiver's SELF CAL automatic balance procedure to match the subwoofer volume level with the other 5 speakers. It's important to run this last step so that the sub is not too loud or too soft. The nice thing about a subwoofer is that you feel the vibrations as well as hear them. And that's what makes it feel like you're at the movies.PROs: easy hookup, it makes things in the room rattle and vibrate. CONS: none noted

O ponto importante é q ele já vem com a tomada brasileira. O fio é de tamanho razoável. O grave parece ser bom. Ainda não coloquei forte, pois tem q amaciar o falante antes. Mas é muito bonito e tem um grave forte.

I have 2 reasons for my 4 star rating. First is for the extra 5 days past the original delivery date it took to receive the unit. Second it doesn't come with an RCA cable to connect it. luckily I had some old cables so I could plug it in right away.
