bought this for my dad who cant see over his hood on his pickup. It actually works great on three of our rigs. '05 chevy duramax / '99 ford ranger / '11 gmc sierra. It is very sturdy, does not hurt the tires or wheels, and there were no adjustments that needed to be made to use it. All you do is unfold it and place it on your tire. dad is @ 220lbs and this holds his weight just fine. My only complaint is it needs a clamp or lock to keep it closed when not in use.

The concept is a good one, and the execution was done intelligently.The down side in the instance of the one I received was the ridiculously poor cotter pins that immediately as two fell out upon opening the box.As well, I bought this particular online as it is advertised as a bright yellow-much easier to see in your mirrors should you use it to step into your truck bed and overlook it as you’re readying to drive off. The one I received was a gloss black..I’m a little disappointed as I’ve bought from Jegs for many years without having to wonder or question the quality of the tool I would be receiving..An upside is I received it quickly, a plus as my family plans necessitated the truck bed accessibility, hence the purchase.I recommend this with the proviso you’re able to adjust it to your needs. It folds up, stores well and unfolds readily once you take it out to use it. The adjustments to the individual tire is easily done and sets solidly onto the tire. It didn’t move under me once I stepped onto it (215 #’s).

Very nice, and adjusts easily to my tire size. I just wish it had come with rubber bumpers that could be attached, to protect the rims. It's already scratched mine.

got mine today. it will fit a 33X12.50R20 tire, but barely. thats the biggest you can go with this tool. its yellow. love it.
