This lamp was a gift for my son who doesn't like the dark. It was a very interesting concept and I thought he'd really enjoy it. Upon opening, the quality of the lamp structure is solid, and it was bigger than I was expecting. The vessel also holds a lot more water than I was expecting.This was very easy to put together, and the directions are straight forward. Make sure the jellyfish don't have any water bubbles trapped. Also for first use, there will be bubbles coming out of the filter area and it will take a little bit before the jellyfish start dancing. This comes with a remote that allows you to choose a color, as well as how bright or dim you'd like the lamp, which ensures the perfect amount of light or dark. The filter itself is quiet and you don't hear the hum of the machine. This was a great gift, performs very smoothly and is a great value. We just set this up today so we haven't used it for a long while, but look forward to it!

My therapist has a jellyfish lamp in her office, and I loved watching it, so I had to have one for myself. This lamp is great! I can easily change the colors which I love, and there is a wide range of colors. It doesn't have any annoying noises, which is great. The jelly fish are just memorizing to watch and it helps with eye strain and stress. When I'm working and my eyes or brain need a break I can just watch the jellies swim for a bit and then I feel more centered and able to get back to the task at hand. It is just the right amount of distracting for my ADHD.

I like how this lamp works for the most part however, I do not like how the water gets very cloudy after a day or two of using it. I added the prescribed amount of water and soap on several different occasions but still got the same result. One of the jellyfish does not move as well as the other and I made sure to get all the air bubbles out of it. I would like this more if the water stayed clear and if there were more jellyfish too.
