With so many random, unheard of brands on here, I always appreciate getting a name brand item, as there is an expected level of quality, especially with a name like Jergens. The body wash and shampoo has a thinner lather, but it does work well to clean our baby and we both like the no tears aspect of this wash. This does have a fairly strong lavender odor while being used, but it only leaves a light scent after rinsing and drying. Overall, we are happy with this soap.

What am I reviewing?[Baby] Jergens Calming Head-to-Toe Lavender Baby Calming Wash. How did this arrive? As is, not sealed in any way possible. I do not care for such, I prefer my products be sealed, in some way, for instance, a plastic seal at the cap, so as to give me peace of mind that the product’s integrity was maintained from factory to me.Whom did I try this on?An adult (me) of course.Any issues using on sensitive [adult] skin?My sensitive [adult] skin had no negative reactions; I did find this drying either, especially on dry/chapped sensitive winter ravaged skin.Bottle’s dimensions?Pump extended, the bottle’s dimensions are about (8¾â€) tall and about (3â€) in diameter, it’s larger than most shampoo and baby wash bottles.Bottle weight? The bottle, with its ingredients, weighed in at near (1½) pounds.Quantity? The bottle reported to have contained (18) fluid ounces.Value.I found that I received fair value, at a very competitive price of about (50) cents per fluid ounce, however, I did not feel I received exceptional value, which was more related to performance issues. What about those ingredients? My understanding is that this wash has: Water, Glycerin, Coco-Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Decyl Glucoside, Citric Acid, Fragrance, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Hydroxide, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Glyceryl Oleate, Sorbitan Caprylate, Linalool, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Oil, Linalyl Acetate, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sodium Benzoate.Okay, so?I am not a fan of various ingredients, for instance: Sodium Benzoate, a preservative – although last on the list of ingredients; nor am I a fan of linalool, both of these ingredients could be a catalyst for eye irritation. Interestingly, though, the bottle has “no†warnings about getting this in baby’s eyes. Rather, noted this had a tear free foam. The reader can do their own research surrounding any of the ingredients.Country of origin?Made in Canada – there was no reference to where the ingredients were sourced from.Vegan?I saw no certification on bottle.Cruelty Free?Yes, but there was no certification (bunny in a circle) on the bottle.Dermatologist and Pediatrician Tested?Yes, per the reference on the bottle.USDA Organic? No certification mark on bottle.ECOCERT/COSMOS?No certification mark on bottle. What is ECOCERT/COSMOS?An organization that verifies a product meets specific natural [or organic] standards.EWG verified? No certification mark on bottle. What is EWG verified? It’s a mark issued to products that meet being free of certain harmful chemicals and follows the Environmental Working Group’s [EWG’s] strict standards.Hypoallergenic? No reference or certification mark on bottle, such as from the National Eczema Association Seal; nor The Allergy UK Seal.Prevented Ocean Plastic seal?No certification on bottle.Certified B Corporation? No certification on bottle.Cosmos Natural? No certification mark on bottle. What is Cosmos Natural? An organization that looks for conformity, for instance, about 95% to 100% of the ingredients of the total product must be of natural originShelf life, after opening? No reference what that might be, after first use.Hydrating.I used this on me, first, not baby. I found this did not leave my skin dry nor taught. Rather supple and smooth.Irritating?I thought this was non-irritating.Foaming action? It quickly produces foam, however, I thought it a very thin foam, demanding I pump several times to get adequate foaming coverage. Even the listing’s photo shows thin rather than thick foam.Scent?Real or imagined, lavender.Date of manufacture?UnknownWhen received?February 2025Best by date?None referenced. Is this perfect? No, however, I have no “significant†criticisms.Rating? After considering the above, this, for me, is four (4) stars, at best.I hope my thoughts added a bit of information.

I like the pump dispenser on this, it's easy to use and the wash doesn't require any lathering. The lavender scent is really nice and soothing, it smells strong when you first use it, but the scent left is very light so it's good before bedtime. I did remove a star because while I like the wash and the scent, the foam isn't very rich, it dissipates quickly in a washcloth and I feel like I need to use more product because of this.
