I bought three of these to level a mobile home for a client. They are plenty strong and work great. You just have to make sure that they are on a solid surface and are lifting straight up. I have used them several times since I bought them, they are very handy.Also, save yourself some money and instead of purchasing the $9 turning handle, just buy a 2' length of 12" rebar at Home Depot or Lowes. Much cheaper and works perfectly.

Unit was strong, easy to position and adjust. Did the trick in less than 5 minutes. Used it to prop up sagging closet drawer/shelve system. Re-anchored system once I had it level again but left the screw jack in place for extra support.

sturdy item which the turning pole is needed. However if you had an old type "bumper" jack the tire iron fits perfectly in the opening to turn the jack. Great item and much safer than those jacks that come with the cars ,now.

Just received this. Looks sturdy, but the description indicated that it came with a turning bar. No turning bar was included with the package. I am sure I can obtain one locally, but the fact that it said it came with a turning bar was an important selling point for me.Update: 8/23/18- I found I already had something that worked for the turning bar. The jack worked great for the raising a floating deck just enough to replace and level the cement block support. Still not happy that the turning bar was not included as per the seller's description, but not at all disappointed in the utility of the jack.

I have the 5lb model and using it to raise a settled corner of a covered porch.Very happy with this jack. Feels solid. Easy to turn, great compact size to get into smaller spaces. Also nice to know that it can't fail like a hydraulic pump can. The only complaint, which is a small one, is the top has a swivel to it. Which I can see being useful in some applications, but made it a bit annoying when I was trying to get the jack in place for its job.

I'm giving it five stars because I got just what I expected and it does just what it's supposed to do. It appears to be solidly made and should last forever. It operates easily. I got two, and recommend doing so. It was delivered two days after ordering, without my asking or paying for the rush job. I use a 1/2" x 10" carriage bolt to crank it, and that worked fine.

Used 6 of these to jack-up sagging floor joists in my 1919 farmouse. Not much clearance underneath so these 5 ton jacks were perfect used three per 10' 4x6 beam perpendicular to the joists. easy to up screw and hold well. Highly recommended
