This kit is great if you need a cheap tool to do non critical tasks or even more involved tasks if you are patient and know what you are doing.The tool works, lets start with that.The good:Frame is metalmotor seems balanced, at least on my samplethe speed control works and high speed buffing can be performedComes with some handy accessoriesThe bad:Cheap parts, the water tank, the guide are very cheap plasticThe circular saw section is not easy to use and possibly dangerous. I'd be real careful with the saw blade.The chuck is just nasty on my sample. This is not a smooth or quality drill chuck. Maybe I'm super fussy as I use high end chucks regularly and one this size cost around $500. While I'm not comparing it to that particular chuck, I can compared it to some cheap Chinese chucks that I use on machinery that are far better and cost less than $15 in this size.I wouldn't use this with the circular saw blade at all. There is not enough weight or stability in the machine in case of jamming. If the blade jams, this thing could get thrown around. The diamond wheel is not an issue.I used the buffing section to buff some microscope lenses with the appropriate diamond cutting paste. The results were fantastic, but the requirements to do this are pretty low.. All you need is quality paste and high rpm on a soft wheel. So this machine can do some good work so long as you are aware of what is and isn't in its capabilities safely.

I really like this kit. It's versatile and pretty good for lightweight use, which it's designed for. YOu can mod it if wanted, but for most uses, it'll do. Everything you need to get started. Good for woodworking, tile, rocks and small projects. If it's maintained, it should last a long time.
