The square "rod" is just a but small for my 30+ year old trumpet. Also the screws that came with this kit were not of the same thread count as mine or my niece's trumpet. The material that the screws are made of is some kind of soft metal because the knurled head broke off as I was tightening it down. Overall, they still get the job done and I got what I paid for.

So disappointed. I didn’t realize I had shifted to a slightly different listing and ordered this one. None of the three will fit a King.

These things are made out of super cheap metal & are probably molds of one the correct size because they were all slightly different sizes (only 1 actually fit in)

... you get three!Here's the scoop! I needed one for my King trumpet. They're too thick for my King trumpet's holder, but at this price, I just ran the bottom and inside on my belt sander for a few seconds to make it fit. I tested some on my kid's trumpets just to see how they fit: It's a bit small for my Bach and Jean Paul trumpets... but fits my old Besson exactly. Being a bit too small is no problem, by the way. It won't wobble once you have it screwed in place. For the price these might as well be considered disposable! For those of us in a marching band who replaced our finger ring with a music holder - and then lost our finger rings, this is a fine replacement!
