We shouldn't have to purchase these gauges. This should be a recall with proper replacement. Shame you you John Deere with your garbage design.

The original gauge didn't display the fuel reading or run time. This new gauge corrected that issue. My understanding is that the digital meter has a built-in battery. When that battery dies so does the meter.

As a display good but is only good during the internal battery life later you have to buy a new one. I sent and engineering report to jhon deer did not replay every you replace the display is $100@ terrible design.

I fully expect this new gauge will replace the failed gauge in my three year old mower. Unfortunately it may only last three years until the internal battery dies again. Not a perfect fix. Need a permanent fix from manufacturer.
