I bought one of these to track hours on a commercial electric pressure washer to track maintenance intervals. I used some silicone adhesive on the back of this unit to adhere it to the controller on the pump. If you have a suitable surface, you can use some small screws, nuts/bolts, or rivets to adhere it to whatever you'd like to track usage hours on. I'm not sure how sensitive the device is but it definitely works on our pressure washer. I can see this being useful for tracking runtime on many other pieces of equipment.

This is a great way to add an hour meter to mowers that come without one. I tested it against my watch and it times perfectly. It is supplied with poor quality screws that twisted off when trying to screw into sheet metal. No big deal, I just used some better screws to attach to the frame of my new Zero Turn mower.

I stucks it on, cut the wire on it to activate it and I have an hour meter. My previous meter which was supposed to tell me rpm required wrapping a wire on the spark plug wire, It didn't work from the get go and never got it to work.

I have this mounted in the engine bay of my truck where there is plenty of vibration. It's been there for a little over 30 days and has not logged any time so far. Just to note for others, you do have to cut the little wire sticking out of it for it to work according to the directions. I guess these are just hit and miss cheapos, I'll find something better on the next purchase.I wanted this to work. Most people don't that changing the oil in their vehicles by mileage or date isn't very accurate, and if you commute a lot you are probably not changing it often enough. When it comes to mechanical equipment like engines it is recommended to change the oil every 200hrs. If you can find one of these that is actually worth the money you pay for it, it could also save you some in the long run.

Price was right, use Velcro on back of hour meter and stuck it right to the motor, perfect fit for keeping it out of sight but yet still easy to see hours , very easy install quality is exceeded my expectation, it Been on my splitter for 18 months into my second min septa winter stored in a shed and it still works ! I check it against the timer on my phone and it very close to correct as far as I can tell , standing up to two MN winters I’d say it’s good quality

I had an hour meter that came with a mini excavator I had bought. The problem was that if you put the battery on a trickle charger, the hour meter would continue to go up. I really didn’t want our accumulating when the machine was not running so this was a great solution to that problem. This had a built-in battery so time will tell how long it will last.

I added this meter to my new (DXCM303) Dewalt air compressor. It was added before the break-in period of 1/2 hour.I mounted it with double-sided tape on the mounting plate between the pump and the motor.I clipped the wire as instructed to in the instructions, started the timer and turned on the compressor. The meter immediately started to flash the hour glass indicating it was working. It checked reasonably close to the timer for my liking, about 6 minutes to a tenth of an hour.Overall pleased with the operation. One thing, actually two minor things that I was not pleased with are,1, You cannot maintain the battery it is sealed in the unit.2, There is no "Reset" button or a way to reset to "0" for next service interval.I would have paid a little more for those two features.Overall I am pleased with the product at this time.

I wanted to know hours of operation of a heater and research (incorrectly) indicated that this device was senstive enough to do that. It's not. Works fine where there is a reasonable sharp tap or vibrate but needs more that my fan motor does.
