Took less than 10 minutes to install in the factory provided slot. YouTube has a few videos with the details. In a nutshell its cutting though a thin veneer with a razor to expose the slot, locating the wiring harness and un-taping the connector for the hour gauge, threading the wires through the opening, connecting the wire to the gauge, then pushing the gauge into place.Works great.

This will not work with a John Deere LA100 mower. I have bought two of these, and they will just flash 88888.......I think it has to do with the John Deere La100 has 3 wires coming from where the hour meter plugs in, a yellow, and a black and white wire. I tried it with only the yellow (positive power) and with the white by itself and once with the black wire by itself, neither way would allow it to power on.....and yes I sat in the seat to see if the bypass was causing it, still would not work.......course no where in the add did it say it would work with a John Deere lol I was just taking a gamble.

I bought a $4,800 Toro Time Cutter and guess what?? No hour meter. Are you kidding me?? The maintenance is scheduled on how many hours of service is on the mower and I'm not sure how the Toro people expect you to know. I went onto YouTube and watched a video on the installation, Quite simple. Fits right in to the cut-out on the fender. I'm sure a Toro meter installed by a Toro dealer would have set me back $150 at least. Great product at reasonable price..

Can anyone give me a real wiring diagram of how this works? Also, my screen is blank, is there a chance the battery inside is dead? I'm just struggling with this, hoping to put it inline with a garage furnace so I know the hour usage. thanks

Works perfectly on my TORO 42inch Zero Turn mover. Takes less than 10min to install as the hole and wire harness are already present on the mover.TORO dealer was asking over 150$ for the same operation plus transporting it to the shop !!

This was so easy to install on the Toro 75734 zero turn mower.There is a spot on the control panel for it - as seen in the photo.Installation:a) Run your finger along the control panel left of the throttle - pressing lightly. You will feel where the meter mount is already cut out.b) Use a sharp knife to cut out the material covering the mounting location.c) Fish the meter wires through the hole. (The Toro has the hour meter harness already installed.)d) Connect the Toro connector on the harness to the meter. (It can only be connected one way).e) Press the meter into the mounting location. (It’s a tight fit).Using:NOTE: The meter is only active when you are sitting on the seat. This is a Toro thing.
