Rake
Rake your lawn vigorously to remove any thatch or debris. This step is essential in creating good seed-to-soil contact.
Spread
Use a hand spreader for small areas or a rotary spreader for larger areas to distribute the seed across your lawn.
Water
Watering the seedlings is imperative to their survival. Water for five minutes, 2 - 3 times a day for the first 4 weeks.

I used this seed on a new section of my lawn that I built up for drainage purposes. I had growth within a week and a nice lawn after two weeks. My neighbor was astounded! The color is deep and looks great.

Did a complete lawn redo, decided to go with this seed after doing my research, i live in ca los angeles county, with some work you can definitely get a nice looking lawn. I killed my previous grass and started leveling and aerating helps a lot, after 1 month and a half this is where im at, definitely missed a few spots but this spring ill be taking care of it, very happy.

This grass seed is pretty good. The growth rate is OK and the grass looks great once it starts growing. It is sometimes a little hard to get started and wants to die, but if you consistently water and use good topsoil you’ll be good. The price on this seat is very good compared to local hardware store stores.

I’ve had issues with my grass growing in and handling the sun and shade along with heat. I used Scott’s grass seeds and didn’t really do much. A friend of mine uses this product and his lawn looked amazing. So I purchased this grass seed and it has grown and look lush, green and full. I seed once a year to keep my grass thick to block out weeds and heat from burning the roots. I had a lot of bold spots and this did the trick. Great quality and price I would recommend to anyone and I am going to continue using this product.

Best seed I've ever used in many, many years. Recommended to me by a local nursery. Mix this with some soil before you put it down, top with peat moss, and water twice a day. You'll see the green pop up in less than a week. But don't stop watering then. Those little blades of grass need continuous watering for 2-3 weeks after that. Jonathan Green are my go-to products for all my lawn care. You won't be disappointed.

I paid a premium for this product, and overseeded with it in the fall of 2023. In the spring of 2024, a large amount of undesirable grass emerged. (I am confident that the grass in question came from this product, because the grass only emerged in the specific areas where I had used it to overseed—which, unfortunately for me, was nearly half of our yard). The grass is light-colored and fast-growing, with wide blades (up to 3/8â€) and a thick stalk that is red at the base. Based on some Googling, I believe it is ryegrass. According to the bag, perennial ryegrass makes up nearly 35% of the seed blend in this product. But I am really surprised that they would select such an unsightly and undesirable variety. I won’t make the mistake of buying this product again, but I fear that getting rid of what has emerged will prove to be an impossible task.

This grass seed germinated within 2 days! I used it to fill in bare spots and erosion areas. I was truly surprised at the quality and value. My father-in-law used this seed years ago and was happy with the quick results too. I would recommend this to anyone. Great value.
