He also began the creation of a non-wood bow long before its time. I'm no slouch of a violist, but I am in the stage of my life where buying the more expensive bow didn't make much sense. A violin repair guru recommended I check out carbon fiber bows to replace my old French style. Found this after searching many sites, discovered I could get it thru Amazon, and with my Prime membership I had it in two days. Amazing! And a very good bow. It is black though.
