I have an actual Deutsch kit, but the barrel design doesn't allow two wires to be placed in the same pin. This design wraps around the wires as it crimps.Very satisfied!

The product listing and the contents list included in the kit both show that it includes the ACT-LY-16DT crimpers but the tool wasn't included. I've reached out to the manufacturer to see if they'll make it right on their own or if I'll have to return to Amazon. I'll update my review once I either receive the crimpers or return the product.Update: After a few days of back and forth with the seller collecting information/reviewing the order, they sent me a replacement set of crimpers. They did say they're working with people responsible for local packaging to make sure the issue doesn't happen going forward. Hopefully they are able to resolve the issue.Everything in the kit, and the crimpers, have all seemed to be great quality, especially considering the price.

Connectors are good, but the rearmost “ears†on the ferrules are a little too wide, so the ferrule spins around inside the crimper and makes it hard to get the depth right. You almost need three hands, but I found that slightly pre-crimping the ears around the insulation with pliers works well. The crimper also began to rust within two to three weeks of arrival.

We purchased the kit that includes the crimpers to make sure we gave these connectors a fair shake. Using wire gage sizes from 14 to 18awg, all connectors went together easily and flawlessly. Our particular application requires connectors to be watertight and all sizes passed with flying colors. Anyone new to this type connector, we recommend getting the entire kit that includes the crimpers. The crimpers ensure proper positioning and crimp for wire gage sizes. We found the best and fastest way to crimp a wire was to first insert the male or female pin into the proper wire gage slot and slowly close down on the pin making sure everything stays aligned in the die. Then insert the wire knowing where the wire insulation will be crimped before completing the crimp cycle. Perfect crimps each and every time!

I like to build and tinker as much as the next guy, mostly offroad stuff. I have, for a very long time felt something was lacking in my wiring and there was something to be desired. HERE IT IS! Ohh, man, I wired up a removable door for a Bronco, a light system for a SxS, and light bars. It all plugs and unplugs and looks so great! I've ascended beyond your normal garage guy. I've become the garage guy of legend, A SUPER GARAGE GUY!
