I am an older woman who participated in triathlons for years. I had a small sciatica experience that stopped me for some activities. I needed something with less "pounding". For instance I walk or jog instead of run. I gave my real jump rope away and purchased this rope. I have not turned back. It has worked wonderfully...I feel like I am jumping rope. The ball system turns smoothly. It is weighted well. The balls are quality. Some reviewers might be looking for more; however, this product works very well for my needs. I plan to let my young granddaughter use them just to let her experience the feel of jumping rope. I am very please with my purchase.

I work out a lot and when i am in the house and I missed the gym for the day these really come in handy. they are also good for using while taking long walks. Def is a great workout for your forearms and help with hand and eye coordination. Since I have issues sleeping some nights, I can pull these out and do a few sets or maybe 15 -20 minutes of work and it will help get that last bit of energy out I need to go to bed.

They work as advertised. They are pretty light though. If your looking for something with a little weight in the handle, you need to look at the other items the company may have.

As someone with low ceilings it was very difficult to use a normal jump rope in my home but these have helped tremendously. One could argue you don't need these you can just jump as if you had a jump rope. But it's not the same the sensation is different and these definitely help! Easy to store, perfect length, has a ver well designed ergonomic grip and it's definitely worth the price.

Mixed feelings about this. I like the idea and the feel of this “cordless†rope. But this I am now on my 5th one in 5 years. I had two of them last a year, and then a couple last 2-3 months. I use it about 5 days a week for multiple sets. But it’s just not made to last. It’s a mixed bag whether it will last a long or short time. Thankfully it’s like $15. But it feels like something you should get at Five Below.

I purchased a jump rope (with a cord) a few weeks ago and have using it a lot. Very proficient with it and getting better each day. I do on occasion hit my bare feet with the cable (it hurts a bit) or the cable get tangled in my feet. Although I like the jump rope and will still use it, I was looking for something where there is more flexibility, less disruptions (rope hitting feet) and for me to move and jump at my own pace.This ropeless jump rope seemed just like the answer. After using this type of jump rope(less), it is exactly like I anticipated. I can jump high/low at my own pace, swing my hands as slow/fast as I want and I don't have to worry about a rope smacking my feet. In addition, don't have to worry about hitting anyone in the house.Overall, I do enjoy using this ropeless jump rope. It is a very good alternative to a regular jump rope. Works for me!!.

Flat out do not buy. Spinning the ropes leads to the bearing cutting into the cord. Flawed design as they are jump ropes that can't be spun.

This jump rope is a well-made product that will give you an inexpensive option for your cardio workouts. Easy to use anywhere including in your home and portable for road trips. It feels like it might even be a good first step to attaining real skip rope proficiency for non-skippers like me!

It is described as weighted, each ball is supposed to weigh 230g. As you can see from the image, it only weighs a little over 100g. Also the handles feel very cheap, and I doubt this is going to last beyond a few uses.
