i’ve been doing jump rope as a warm up for years with speed ropes and wanted to dip my toes into the weighted rope for a little more of a challenge. This was exactly what I was looking for. It’s very comfortable to hold and isn’t too chunky to store nicely. No silly gimmicks, just a good ole jump rope. I’m 5’3 and the length of the rope is great. It’s become a staple for my workouts and adds a perfect layer of intensity to my routine. It’s super fun to use once you get past the weight difference compared to a speed rope and i’ve had no problems regarding quality or function yet!

Good quality, but I removed a star for being a bit short for anyone over 6' 2".

It is well put together with an added nylon sleeve to protect it when in use. The weight is a great factor in working deltoids.

For the money spent, this 3 lb jump rope is fun and a great workout. It hits both cardio and resistance. It also trains balance and those small muscles and tendons that give you stability. It's also small and light and able to go almost anywhere. This is my first time training with a jump rope. I'm kicking myself for not using this sooner.Well worth the money.

I got the heavy version. The problem isn’t the weight. The problem is that the heavy rope is so stiff that it doesn’t swing like a jump rope. The solution would be to loosen your grip so that it could rotate in your hands, however at that point it’s a very precarious situation trying to allow the rope enough leeway to freely rotate without being dragged out of your hands. This rope torques on the muscles in your fore-arms. It may not be cardio or strength training the way another rope may be, but it will definitely will work your forearms if it doesn’t cause tendonitis first.
