1. Felting needles are quite delicate and can break easily if used incorrectly. Please use it on the foam mat to avoid the damage.
2. Make sure you are stabbing in and out at the same angle, not twisting or bending the needle.
About Our Wool Top:
A Top has been carded and then combed to make all the fibers smooth and parallel. Wool Top is perfect for worsted or semi worsted spinning.
A Roving on the other hand has been taken from a carded batt (a blanket of interlocked and naturally crimped fiber) and not combed, and then pulled through a small hole in order to make a long continuous cord. A Roving is best for woolen spinning.
Individually Package
Each color is individually packaged in a resealable plastic bag, 5g per color. Meet what you need for DIY different styles for needle felting and wet felting. Perfect for making pets, wild critters, forest creatures, farm animals, and much more.
There is also a partition in the middle of each layer of the three-layer grid, which can be disassembled. Wool and tools can be stored neatly and not easy to drop.
Transparent plastic packaging, you can see the contents of the box clearly, and there is a handle groove design, which does not take up space and is easy to take and carry.

This is a great little kit, packaged up nicely. I bought it strictly to have on hand small amounts of many colors of wool that I might use for accents on a piece but which I don't need to keep a huge amount in storage (yes folks, just 2 ounces of wool takes up a lot of space and is way more than you might think!)PROS:Snips are sharp and functional.Decent needles.2 nice needle holders (which also have a needle in each).An awl.Finger guards (please don't count on these folks, I find it silly that these are even made at all - felting needles are VERY sharp and will go right through).A very good selection of colors.A decent amount of each color.This is real wool - check my photo of the burn test. I say this as a pro because at this low price, one might expect an attempt to pass off acrylic/polyester or a blend as wool, but this is the real deal.... and...For some bizarre reason, a single mini glue stick. Not sure what that is for, but it will fit my glue gun so meh?CONS:The kit box is nice, but it is not very durable, don't expect this one to stand the test of time unless latched and unlatched very carefully and infrequently.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (if you are newer to felting):You need to get some core wool - if you try to make your figures using entirely the colored wool you will use that wool up fast and it will be quite expensive. Get yourself some cheap core wool to make your base figures with.

It has everything you need to get started. I would recommend buying yourself some extra plain roving to use as the inital shape, that way you can be more sparing with your colors. Also, the needles that are in the needle holder initially (not the extra colored ones of different sizes) are not as well made as the colored ones. I managed to snap the plain one within 10 minutes (on the foam base), but the colored needle is holding up well.
