The inner diameter of the container is exactly 11 inches. I got it specifically for pies but though they say 9½ inches, my glass pie plates have a large lip around them, 11¼ inches across the top to be exact, so they almost fit inside this container but not quite. My solution was to buy either 10 or 11 inch round cake boards so that I could place them in the bottom of the container and just carefully remove the pie from the dish and place it in the container on the boards since the pies crusts never extend all the way to the edge of the lip so they still fit that way. This way, I can still slice the pie in the container without cutting into the plastic bottom and making scratches. I do, however, love that it comes with a cupcake and deviled eggs holder inserts. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase because the larger round Tupperware type containers typically made for pizza storage that probably would've worked for me were ridiculously expensive.

I bake regularly and just bought two of these. I love how sturdy they feel and how easy it is to carry and stack these. I have tall cake carriers but these are flat enough to fit in my fridge.

Quick ship! Just as described. Love it. Carries deviled eggs, pie or cupcakes n cookies with ease. The snaps on sides seem secure. Would order it again. FYI: If you put it in the freezer, warm it to room temperature before popping the latches open or they may break off. Mine did. Reason for this new one.
