The large fits my 10 yr old son well with room to grow. (4'9", 77 lbs). Honestly could have bought the medium and would have probably been a great fit, but at the rate my kid seems to outgrow his clothes, hopefully I can get two years out of this shirt by buying one that's a bit larger. The shirt works great protecting him from the sun and the UV rays. He was out in the sun all day with no sunscreen under his shirt and no signs of sunburn! In fact, I'd say the shirt worked better than sunscreen since his arms and face got tanned and his torso didn't.The shirt length is perfect, and hits a few inches below his waist. And even though the shirt is a bit big for him, there isn't a lot of material floating around to make him look like an underwater sail.I have the adult version of this shirt and it has lasted 2 years without any issues. I have a feeling that my son will outgrow the shirt before he can wear it out.

These are so perfect! They are bright and comfortable!!! Sizing is true to size, ordered a size up and they fit well, should get two summers out of them. Seem to be well made.

This shirt runs very large, size down a size for sure! I ordered my grandson a medium it was extremely large and I sent it back for a small which is still loose. He is 63 pounds and 4‘3“ tall. In a a rash guard that fits close to the body he would probably be an 8-10. He likes it, he has tight rashguards and wanted a looser sun shirt and this is just fine for that. So to sum it up this is a sun shirt not a rash guard it fits looser on the body not skin tight. I ordered the green first and I sent that one back, then I ordered the yellow. Both were very bright vivid colors.

I needed a swim shirt to match my son's swim suit. This was a great price for a last minute trip. He had it on all day and he got zero sunburn where his shirt was too. The shirt was slightly large on him but he didn't mind.
