To be fair, I have never worn a "jammer" style swimsuit before. I was not sure what to expect. I have recently been trying to get more active and started picking up swimming, and I am definitely happy that I picked up this swimsuit, also. Contrary to some reviews, the Kanu Surf Jammer is not see-through and it wears comfortably. I was able to tell a reduce in drag the second I started swimming. It is sleek and forms to the body well without revealing too much. I feel, however, it is more of a practice swimsuit than competition. The swimsuit feels sturdy and like it will hold up for a long time. After swimming, I rinse it under cold water and let it air dry.The only downside to the swimsuit is that sometimes random strings will become undone. To this point, it has not caused a problem with the integrity of the clothing/structure, but it will be interesting to see how long it will go on before it becomes a problem. Overall, I feel it is definitely worth the price and can be used by both professional and novice swimmers.

I have been swimming in them 5 days a week for a little over 2 months. So far there has been no fading. I purchased the black jammers. The legs are still nice and snug. They have begun to stretch a little around the middle and the length has stretched a little but are still wearable. They aren't as revealing as other jammers I have worn. Always a little concerned when purchasing a cheap non brand but for the price they have held up well enough that I would buy again.

This is a GREAT training suit, but I wouldn't compete in it. This is actually the 4th Kanu jammer I have purchased. I bought one from Amazon back in January, started wearing it in February, and it has lasted until late August. There is little if any fading, and the drawstrings, while pretty thin, have held up.I swim 2x per week, 1.5 miles per swim, indoor pool. After every swim, I rinse off in the shower, suit on, and then prior to drying, rinse each suit 2x in the sink. The previous reviews indicated there might be an issue with transparency with this suit. As I stated above, it is a great training suit, so double it up, and you won't have to worry about transparency. Along those lines, the fit is good in the legs and butt, however, the waistline loosens up. Again, after swimming in this suit for 6 months, it is not going to fall apart, but the waistline does allow for a good amount of drag, hence my title for this review, GREAT FOR TRAINING, BUT... I mean, training is supposed to be tough, right? So, double suit up for more drag, and these suits, since they don't fit supper tight like the Ispeeds, Nikes, or Speedos, give you extra drag.Pros: one of the most durable suits I have ever (15+ years of swimming/water polo) encountered. No fading, no transparency, takes a long time to fall apart.Cons: not the best fitting, would not compete at all in this suit!!Update: Dec 2015: I have purchased a total of 6 of these suits and stand by my previous statements.

Without a proper string to secure your swimsuit, you'll be tugging to keep this on! Unlike Speedo which has a thick, strong string that is tied in a knot on both ends , you won't find it here. It's amazing that this company decided to skimp on an important piece of a swimsuit jammer... A strong and long enough string to tie your suit tight. I put mine on for the first time and when I reached to look for the string I realized that it had already disappeared in one of the holes. Obviously, there wasn't a knot like more reputable brands too help keep this from happening. The string is flimsy unlike the suit which is surprising.

First, it would be nice if they were sewn straight but they aren't. It isn't bad enough not to fit but it's wonky and I know enough about sewing to know that it wasn't intentional - - somebody was asleep at the switch or their machine was seriously out of adjustment (so say's my wife and she's a master seamstress). But here's the deal-breaker: I should get more than a couple dozen lap-swims before the spandex material starts breaking down, the seams start to pull apart and bits of me start sticking through. Believe me, no one wants to see that. Now, pool swimming with proper garment care is still pretty tough on these things. I've only had one or two jammers in my life that lasted more than a year of regular use; and those didn't make through a second year. But these sat on my shelf until I needed them a few months ago and damn, the one pair isn't wearable at all and the second has maybe another couple weeks of use then it, too, will hit the trashcan. I don't think that's an acceptable trade-off even at this price point.

My son is a little thick at 4’11†and 110 pounds and according to the sizing chart, he’d never fit into the children’s size which everyone says is super tiny, like a sausage casing. It’s supposed to be form-fitting within reason but not uncomfortably tight. At his weight, the men’s extra small is perfect and this is a quality suit like all the kids on the swim team wear and half the price of the Speedo brand. One jammer survived a year of twice weekly swim during the school year and daily swim during the summer until it looked a little frayed with a small hole (but still wearable).Recommend.

I bought these for lap swimming due to the fact my summer board shorts kept working their way off my backside. After reading all of the reviews I decided to give these a shot, since finding a pair of jammers in a size 42 is damned near impossible. These fit me perfectly and are a little tight at the knee. (like I care) The drawstring is really flimsy and I replaced w/ a 54" black shoe lace (could have gone longer) and my drawstring threader ($3.00 total at WallyWorld). ****If you do this leave the original in place until your new one is threaded****Received two weeks ago and have already logged 10+ miles in my local pool. I just rinse out w/ tap water and hang to dry. No stitching problems and no see through issues!!!

A great pair of jammers. I like the way the leg cuffs stay tight. I have three pairs and swim every day. A great product for the price. They have stood up a lot better the the more expensive Nike jammers I bought. I ordered the large size at first. But returned then for my current waist size
