If you think you're going to open the package, load your hoop and start stitching -- NOT. Maybe if you have a wooden hoop you might. But if you use a plastic hoop that has a ridge in the bottom part, you will not.The listing says if you put the material in water, it will get soft. I soaked mine for six hours and scrubbed on it. It was STILL stiff - but not quite as stiff as new. I managed to get it loaded in my hoop with some difficulty.This Aida would be best used cut into small squares for ornaments, or for beginners, or for something where you don't need a hoop. I think. I've never stitched a stitch without a hoop.

not to stiff but also not loose weave so ideal for my way of stitching, the pearl grey looked more like a cream colour than grey but great basic colours.

der Stoff ist zwar nicht abgesteppt aber gerade geschnitten. Er ist gefaltet (wie in der Beschreibung)und kommt in einer Zippertüte. Und es waren sogar zwei kleine Kreuzstich Pattern dabei von Katzen. Ich bin sehr begeistert.
