This light fixture is worth buying. It's nice looking and just the right size. It really lets the light out, creating a starburst effect onto the ceiling. Installation was pretty easy. It just took some time to get the mounting screws through the holes. Having another set of hands would've made it easier though.

Love it as a replacement.Glad I had a handyman install it as he had to use longer screws and took quite some time but looks great!I put the Edison type bulb in and is very bright.

Looks very nice for our front door area, but installing it was a challenge. So I cleared a place where the insulation was so I could line up the holes for the screws.

Just replaced the ugly porch lights that came with the house with these lights. I gave the overall rating 4 stars because they are not easy to install.I read other reviews where people have issues with the really short screws that come with the fixture. The person I had installing them had a very tough time, he had to wedge the bracket so it stayed down so the really short screws would come through and secure the light to the bracket in the ceiling.Now that they are both installed, I do love the way they look.I would recommend, just be prepared and get some longer screws.

I read the reviews before I had the light installed. I told my friend that there was a problem with short screws. He came prepared with longer screws and there was no problem with the installation. Love the light.

You'll need 2 people to install this. I held the fixture in place while my husband installed it. He had no problem screwing it into place. Like the open bottom of this light fixture; bugs don't get trapped inside. A little pricey but it's heavyweight & good quality. (Attached photo was taken mid- morning.)

The light looks really nice but was a huge pain to install as the mounting screws are not long enough to thread through the posts on the final installation step. The installation directions are also sparse and not well detailed. The design requires you to hold up the fixture while simultaneously wiring it and then trying to mount while securing the light with small decorative screw end caps. Additionally the bulky insulation gets in the way of trying to feed the mounting posts through the light fixture. On the final installation step, you have poor visibility and are basically trying to blindly seat the posts through the small holes in the roof of the light fixture. We cut out sections of the insulation and secured it away from the holes with electrical tape to give better visibility and less obstruction. Aesthetically this porch light looks very nice, but took us several hours, lots of frustration, mouth loads of swearing and a trip to the hardware store to get it up. They really need to redesign and update the hardware that comes prepackaged. We needed to buy screws that were 3/4†longer than those included. Many other reviews mention this as well, unfortunately we didn’t read them before hand.

Looks great, but the designer who created how to mount this should be seeking advise from ChatGPT on better design. Finally got it installed by reversing the mounting screws.
