I have been using this lock in my office desk for about two years now. I have been very happy with this purchase.Let me tell you why I chose this one. We use MacBook Pro for work. Many of my teammates were using the other locks where you have to stick a slot for the lock on the side of your MacBook. While that does the job, I feel it doesn't look good sticking out of the otherwise perfectly sleek MacBook body. I mean you don't buy a $2000 beautiful looking machine only to stick that piece of lock on the side. So that's how I ended up finding this lock and ordered it.The lock itself is very easy to install, will take you literally five minutes. I got the key version, because somehow I don't trust the number locks. Also, it is quicker to just insert the key and rotate it rather than trying to find the right combination every time I need to unlock it. One little gripe I have with it is that I cannot completely close the lid, and that's just the way this lock works. So I end up leaving it unlocked and close the lid while working on the desk with docking station. When I have to leave, I open the lid, slide the right flap and lock it up - this all takes like five seconds.The lock is sturdy and does its job. It also matches the color of the MacBook so that adds to the aesthetics. I would say go ahead and buy it if you are looking for a non-invasive lock that doesn't stick to your MacBook.

I initially purchased a simple Kensington lock with a T-bar, however, I did not realize that my MacBook (2015 MacBook with Retina Display, 13 inch) lacked the Kensington port. Instead, I purchased the locking station, and I find it to be an excellent solution. Out of the box, it must be adjusted using an Allen wrench in order to fit the size of the laptop on which it is being used, but it is easy to open and close. In summary, a very sturdy, excellent locking solution for my laptop.

Clunky, bulky, awkward but the only option I could find. I miss the old system, but Apple and not Kensington is to blame. It might be a more reasonable option for someone to bolt to a desk, but that isn’t my need. Used once in hotel. The hotels are not cooperating by having fixed furniture that lends itself to having the cable lock to it. If I wanted to, I could defeat the system by lifting up the table it was secured to. Not use to the fact, that I can’t close the computer when it is secure. Round trip flight and on one leg TSA took apart my carry on to inspect the device. They hadn’t seen one yet? Have not tried alternative that requires you to secure by adhesive the anchor to the computer. Have a protective case on computer that eliminates that option. Not enough information on a couple I saw on Amazon that screw into a corner of the computer. Found the key use awkward and IF I was going to replace this I would go with the combination lock option. Love Kensington and used its more simple cable lock on about 20-30 years of prior MacBook Pro’s, but Apple eliminated the key slot. Shame on Apple.

Easy to adjust. Order included a cable & lock. Also works with my old cable & lock. Allows access to ports on my Mac. Wish the MacBook supported a physical lock, so this is good to have in lieu of that

The lock is high quality and will certainly secure the laptop, however it's fiddly unlocking the cable with key (I expect the combination lock version would be easier).My main concern is that the way it holds the laptop creates a large risk of screen damage if any attempt is made to close the screen while locked. I cracked my MacBook screen using it, either my toddler tried to close it when I wasn't looking, or I did it trying to unlock the cable for the first time.

The lock is very solid and substantial. Key works great. High quality construction. Precision fit. Easy to install. [I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch with touch bar, (A1707).] It is not the kind of lock you would want to carry around with you though. It is pretty heavy. Cable is thick would not be easily cut unless someone was walking around with a bolt cutter... I am happy with my purchase.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with a Kensington computer lock that resulted in a broken computer screen. Despite the promises of security and safety, my screen shattered when I attempted to close my computer at a 45-degree angle, clearly indicating a design flaw. What compounded my frustration was the terrible customer support from Kensington. Their response was far from helpful, lacking empathy and effective solutions. This incident not only left me with a damaged computer but also a profound sense of dissatisfaction with Kensington's product and customer service quality.

Auf diversen Veranstaltungen habe ich nun endlich ein sicheres Gefühl, als ganz ohne Absicherung des MacBooks. Einfache Handhabung - keine Kratzer am Gerät. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Quando ho acquistato il mio nuovo pc ultra sottile e ultra leggero ho pensato che ero molto soddisfatta. Finalmente il mio pc era leggero ed esteticamente non solo gradevole ma decisamente bello! Poi inizi a lavorarci e ti rendi conto che quando non sei in smart working devi poter lasciare il pc su di una scrivania ed avere la certezza di ritrovarcelo ... e d'incanto ti accorgi che il pc è molto bello, ma che il costruttore o vive su Marte oppure è un pò s... perchè non solo lesina sulle porte USB, ma pure sull'attacco del tanto comodo cavo Kensington. Quindi che fai? Kensington ci avrà pensato, ti dici, e cerchi e trovi! Urrà . Bene, allora acquisti pure l'ennesimo optional (oltre a quello per moltiplicare le possibilità di connessione del tuo pc, ovviamente) e ti dici che sarà funzionale e sei felice perchè il tuo pc sarà al sicuro. Certo, al sicuro lo è perchè l'aggeggio che si è inventato Kensington funziona ed è robusto come sono un aggeggio Kensington sa essere, ma pesa come il tuo primo pc di 15 anni fa ... Riassunto: è perfettamente funzionale, resistentissimo e molto ben fatto, ma ora sto riflettendo sull'acquistare anche una borsa per il pc con le rotelle ... oppure fare body bulding

C'était compliqué de trouver quelque chose de compatible pour MacBook Pro sans être invasif.Je n'avais pas envi d'un système où il faut dévisser les vis sous le chassis du mac car la plupart des tourne-vis fait pour ça sont de mauvaise qualité où on fini par abimer la visse.Là c'est vraiment super, on règle avant la largeur du PC, ça dit maximum 15,6". Me concernant avec un MacBook Pro 15", j'avais encore de la marge pour écarter.Le system est protégé avec des plastiques souple de façon à ne pas abimer le PC.C'est assez lourd et en plus avec des pad donc ça ne glisse pas sur le bureau.Le cable est un peu rigide mais rien de gênant.Le prix n'est pas donné mais la qualité est bien présente et tout aussi pratique qu'un autre lock standard.Je recommande pour tout ceux qui ont des ultra book sans prise spécial kensington.
