This tool is a wickedly effective tool in my garden, and on unwanted veins on my property. The blade is very sharp, and resharpening is easy with a simple file. The only concern that I have is that the handle seems a little slim for my liking. That being said, it is sturdy. It’s a keeper. Update...be sure to use a honing oil or grease to the blade. I failed to oil or grease and rust has appeared. Still an effective tool for me.

Good looking design and very sharp! I only used it once to cut grass that grew on edges of my dirt piled veggie rows, easily cut off grass but the size is overkill since I dont have much grass to cut. Cant wait to use this sickle to harvest my water spinach that I grow in bundles. MY Only complaint is there is no safety cover sheath, i will have to make one, lest sharp edge is dangerous and easily damaged when banging with other tools in the box.

It's Cheap!!! & Very Sharp!!!Effortlessly cut through the 1/4" twigs I have growing out of my wall, & which gives it value to me.But the metal bends very easily, the wooden handle breaks easily... so it is what it is.

Well bought this for a specific reason to cut loose my wandering grape vine branches from the ground. As a hand sickle it's build pretty good, but expect to sharpen it, mine was very dull. It's good for getting into places you can't with a weed Wacker or a weed Wacker might be to destructive. Something your going to want to keep in your took shed for sure as it is a handy tool.

This product works wonders. I had very tall weeds growing on a slope by my driveway. The weed eater couldn’t handle the thickness. This thing cut right through them. Love it!

When I initially opened the package I was a little disappointed, the pins holding it together looked like an afterthought but they haven't given me any trouble yet. It is hard to picture how sharp the blade is. I was able to cut a single blade of grass without mangling the rest of the shoots, and I was able to slice a 3/4" knotweed stem almost without noticing. I feel like it is slightly faster than using a weed trimmer, and certainly way more fun.

Does the job very well. Great for cutting back swaths of weeds or grasses. BUT...be warned as this tool is very sharp. It does not come with a sheath so store carefully.

My sickle arrived a few days after I'd ordered it. I watched a video on how to use it and then took it up to our community garden, where I attacked the 4' tall grass that had taken over an abandoned plot. That grass never stood a chance! The sickle made the job far easier than hacking at the grass with a knife.As other commenters have noted, the sickle does not come with a sheaf. I made one using duct tape and the cardboard from the shipping box.
