This filter is a great value for the money, and works very well. 4.5 stars.Be aware that there are no hard stops on the ends of the variable range, so you have to keep an eye on the markings. Unlike others, however, I haven't seen the dreaded X pattern at any point on my filter (82mm size).I've seen a minor color shift (it shifted a bit warmer, tested with manually set white balance, not auto), but that's what white balancing is for. No negative effect on my workflow at all.I'd definitely recommend this if you're just wanting to test the variable ND waters, or are simply on a budget.

You can get more creative specially while shooting videos and play around more with the lower apertures. I have some of these variable ND filters for all my prime lenses.

I needed a variable filter to cut down the "digital" sharpness on my Sony a6700 for filmmaking. This filter helps soften the overall image quality. The aspect I really enjoy about it is that I can adjust the filter to make a scene appear lighter or darker without adjusting my aperture. This is very convenient on film shoots when I don't have a lot of time for set ups. Image quality is excellent.

I wouldn’t trust this cost effective solution for serious photographers/videographers. Variable filters are already a bit risky and should be avoided in favor of single ND filters when possible. That being said for the price and being used on a moment lens/step up ring for and IPhone 15 rig, I really can’t argue. I’m not going to go spend 2-300.00 on a single filter for a phone camera set up. This one works a treat for a phone. The max setting/2000ND even allowed me to snap a decent “diamond ring†photo from the eclipse as part of a time lapse. Because phone cameras are regularly pointed at/have the sun in the frame apple builds UV filters into the camera layers. I wouldn’t trust this filter to be pointed at the sun in the same way with a normal camera with larger sensor/lens.All and all good product for a more amateur use case. If you think this one VND is going to replace multiple 150-300.00 professional grade filters you’re in for disappointment.

I bought this for daytime long exposure shots for my Canon R50. It works as described, and I was impressed with the build quality! Great job K&F! I can't wait to buy even more of the filters if they're all built to this level of quality! Thank you!

Camera: Canon M6 MKIIFilter size: 52mmAn excellent ND filter that does the job. Performed excellent in broad daylight. No issues with "X" on maximum setting. Lightweight and didn't add affect gimbal operation after re-balancing. Mechanism to change intensity is pretty smooth, but time will tell if the physical ring will get gunky and stick.55mm cap will fit on the ND Filter, as original cap will not fit. Original hood will not fit. Both of these issues were called out in the description, so no issues.The plastic case is a generic case, so it kind of swims inside it. It is foam padded on one side so it only slides instead of bouncing in full 3D motion.

Der bestellte Filter kam am nächsten Tag schnell. Alles schön serviert in einem Karton und einer Plastikbox mit einem Schwamm zum Schutz und zur Aufbewahrung, wenn wir den Filter nicht benutzen. Bisher habe ich Filter verwendet, ohne die Blende anzupassen, und es war ziemlich problematisch, ich reise viel, auch in den Tropen mit viel Sonnenlicht oder arabischen Ländern, es kam oft heraus, während ich den Filter mit einer anderen Anzeige wechselte, manchmal ein paar Mal während einer Reise. Dieser Filter hat eine variable Blende, die mir sehr helfen wird, ich habe danach gesucht. Ich habe ein paar Fotos zu Hause in verschiedenen Lichtlandschaften gemacht und bin sehr zufrieden, dass ich trotz der geringen Lichtmenge den Filter nicht entfernen muss, um ein Bild zu machen, oder die Parameter, die für die Fotografie in der Kamera verwendet werden, erheblich übertakten muss. Die Qualität der Fotos ist sehr gut. Ich fahre Ende Februar auf eine Reise in die VAE und asiatische Länder, ich werde meine Erfahrung mit diesem Filter ergänzen, nachdem ich ihn unter realen variablen Bedingungen getestet habe, aber ich denke, er wird seine Aufgabe erfüllen, ich werde auch versuchen, diesen Filter zusammen mit Farben zu verwenden. Das Produkt selbst sieht solide und sehr sorgfältig hergestellt aus, keine Kunststoff- oder Harzprodukte. Es gibt nur ein Minus, das mich enttäuscht hat, das Set enthält keine Objektivkappe und mein Standard 58 mm passt nicht. Ich werde selbst eine Objektivabdeckung kaufen müssen, um sie so gut wie möglich zu schützen.
