Ashley's Husband : Review on install date of 4 units (2x 2pack) - Incredibly easy install, smaller than ancient models inhome but able to cover the retro-box hole prior alarms used; with a shim behind drywall vertically, using screw in plate as tension.Each activated and tested; no issues. Intend to buy more to cover 2 further rooms.-Poker to start hole for included Drywall anchors.Flathead to activate alarm.Phillips-head for screws included.Step Ladder-Each activated and tested; no issues. Intend to buy more to cover 2 further rooms.

The alarm started chirping after 35 days and the Amazon return window was closed. Called Kidde and they replaced the unit. Kidde customer service (CS) was excellent. Four stars because of great CS but the unit should last longer than 1 month.

Bought the smoke alarm and used it for a month and a half then started going off for no reason. Tried to reset and troubleshoot by cleaning and removing from “humid environment” and continued to falsely alarm. Could not shut off. Had to break to stop alarming. Will never buy a Kidde product again. No support from Amazon or kidde.
