I am a Speech Language Pathologist and I work with many special needs children and they break my stuff all the time. In fact, they broke so many of my previous musical instruments, I had to buy these to restock. It was a great purchase for the money and the durability of the instruments. The instruments are pretty tough and for the price it's a homerun. There are a variety of different instruments to choose from in different colors as well which adds to the kid's interest in participating in our music time. I highly recommened this product because I know it won't stand up forever to these kids, but it will last a long time and the kids love playing them.

My 19 month grandbaby loves music and she really, really likes these pieces. Her favorites are the bells and tambourine because they are easy to handle, but I know as she gets older she will enjoy the whistles and the xylophone. She likes to hear the castanets but is too little to handle them herself at this time. She will grow into them. Although they are toys, they are good quality and a good way to introduce instruments to little ones. The maracas are really small but they still sound good.

It is a small sized music set, but will be perfect for my grandnephew. His mother is musically talented, I know she will be excited to teach him rhythms. In a few years, I hope to see him follow her activities in band class! It’s a perfect gift for a preschooler!
