I had really ordered the Graber Crystal Clear sash rod, 7-11 1/2". However, there was a problem with my order never coming, so they resent it but I received the Kirsch Sash Rod 8-12" instead. So I am coming here to update my review on this product.I could not find anything small enough for my front door window, until I found these. They are perfect! I had a problem with shipping, though - I never received it the first time, and there was no tracking with it. Being close to Christmastime, I don't know if a porch pirate got it or not. However, I contacted the vendor (Bravada) and they sent it again at no charge. They do take a while, normally, to get - I ordered mine on 11/24/18 and they were supposed to have arrived on 12/10/18. When I did not get them, I contacted Bravada the next day through the Amazon order to report a problem. They emailed me on 12/13 to ask if I would like to have them resent or refunded. I responded on 12/14, and received them today, 12/27. I cannot fault Bravada for the lost item, so did not deduct stars for that issue. I did, however, deduct one star because there are no instructions. So I hope to help others by including lots of photos.I did expect some plastic, "crystal clear" rods, but these were metal, just like other curtain rods you might pick up at Target, or Walmart. So the quality is better than I expected. I paid $6.99 for mine, although I see they are a few dollars more, since I was supposed to be getting the Graber brand. But I like what I got. The one thing is that the brackets do not extend them much, so it doesn't give them much space to hang over any moulding, or whatever, like normal curtain brackets would (normal ones have a curved end allowing them to extend). So they will fit somewhat tight. Because of that, I had to actually mount mine on the window moulding.Photos:#1 As you can see, the packaging comes with everything you need.#2 & 3 You will notice a little white opaque ring that I assume goes over the larger rod to keep from snagging your curtain fabric.#3 This is to show how I think the brackets were supposed to be inserted (and it turns out that way works). In this picture I did not push them in all the way, as I was not sure if it was best to put the brackets on before putting the rods on them, or to put the rods on the brackets and then screw them on at that time. I also worried that if I put them in, I would not be able to get them out again if I needed to. I had trouble getting the bracket into the small rod, so I used some pliers to squeeze it a little, and that was perfect. Putting the rods on the brackets before screwing the brackets in, seemed to work best for the width I had to work with. The screws are easy to access when attached to the rod, so there is no problem in putting them in first. Of course, you'll need to have the curtain on it first, if that is the case.#4 & #5 This shows how the brackets and rod look closeup when attached.#6 This shows that you can wrap the curtain a bit to cover the end of the rods.#7 TaDa! My new tiny curtain!#8 - Oops - I got another set, this time the Graber ones I probably was supposed to get in the first place. At least you can see a side-by-side comparison. The Graber are plastic. You can go to that page and read the reviews for yourself in case you are interested in plastic. Plastic might allow the fabric to slide better without snagging, but the won't be as durable in my opinion (and according to a very small percentage of those reviews).Good luck!
