Nice grippy texture, good stitching. These look like they're made to last. Not the thickest I've ever seen (that's wha-- NO! must resist...) but they have been fine so far even handling heavy cast iron. I could see these being insufficient if you move really slowly in the kitchen. But definitely decent protection versus using a towel.Should be easy to clean these, I'm sure they'll hold up in the laundry. Glad to have an affordable pair delivered so fast.

They are beautiful, they work perfectly for taking stuff out of the oven, they are durable and thick, but I do not know why there’s a little stitch in the top which prevents your hand from sliding all the way in. But they do their job.

UPDATE - 08/22/2024 Removing the finger stitching from one glove didn't make any difference when using. These pads are good, but use caution when handling really hot pans. I use my cast iron pans in a hot over, 400 to 420 degrees, and find these pads allow heat to penetrate quickly. Use caution if you are cooking at high temps, or get a thicker pad.So far I really like these hot pads. They prevent slipping when handling a heavy, cast iron pan hot from the the oven. I can feel the warmth, but it prevents the heat from reaching my hands. At first I found it awkward to slip my hands inside the glove. I have gotten used to that, and the mitts have gotten more flexible from use. Since they are mitts and my hand is inside, it protects the top of my hand as well. I am not sure the stitched finger divider is needed, so I carefully removed the stitching from one mitt to try it out. If I like it better I will remove the stitching from the other mitt. They are much more heat resistant than my old double terry cloth hot pads. Still evaluating the mitt construction instead of a glove construction with a thumb. I want to try the glove version of this hot pad, but am concerned about the reviews stating the stitching comes loose.

I bought these to replace some very old pot holders by the same brand. These are waaaay prettier, fit my hands better, and I love the grip spots added. I would definitely recommend!

I have some mobility issues and the regular big pot holders just don’t work for me as they are so thick, I can’t bend my hands properly. I have some similar one as this recent purchase that a I have been using but they are slowly all wearing out and it was time for new ones. After reading reviews I ordered these and must say I love them. They do have an indent sewn inside which keeps your fingers in place. The grip portion on these is great, have had no problems removing items like lasagna pans, turkey roasters. May seem a bit expensive but I would rather feel safe when removing hot items from the oven so to me, worth the cost.

Les poignées sont bien conçues! Il y a une petite couture au centre (au bout) qui permet de bien séparer les doigts en deux parties; ce qui est parfait! Il est donc plus facile de saisir les objets chauds sans que la poignée ne glisse (ce qui était mon souci avec mes anciennes poignées). Elles sont confortables et conçues pour une chaleur de 400 degrés. Les couleurs sont magnifiques (je les ai commandées en orange et en vert). À mon avis, Kitchenaid fabrique de bons produits et bien conçus! Je vous les recommande sans hésiter!
