The cable shears have twin cutting edges precision ground and hardened. The shears will cut cables up to 20 mm diameter including copper and aluminum cables, single and multiple wires. They are not suitable for steel wire and hard drawn copper conductors. A low hand force is required due to a favorable lever ratio and blade geometry allowing for clean and smooth cuts without crushing and deformation. The initial cut can be made using the upper cutting edge. If a higher hand force is require, the final cut or additional cut can be done with the cutting edge profile near the joint. The shears have a guard an adjustable screw joint and are self-locking.

I havent used a lot of other cable shears, but these things are great. Ive used them a LOT and they have gotten a bit dull, but with a good whetstone and some patience they can be resharpened easily. Still holding up great after 2 years.

Oh baby where have these been all my life!? These are my first foray into the Knipex tool space and I waited way too long to discover this quality German-made brand. These things bounce around my shop like a beachball at a Nickelback concert. Everyone thats tried them seems to have forgotten the few pairs of rabbit ear shears we have and go straight into my tool bag.These things are razor sharp. Like down to the micronucleus sharp. I've cut a lot of 1/0 and 2/0 with them and they don't seem to really care much about those copper lives they've cut. I really like the 2 zone design of them. You can snip smaller cable up front and go toward the rear for the bigger stuff. These have also easily become my 6awg + strippers because they are so easy to control. Comfortable in the hand through the cut, I can hardly imagine what the comfort grip model feels like. I prefer the plastic dipped grips personally but they are offered in comfort and insulated as well.I'm looking forward to upgrading a bunch of my tools to Knipex stuff over the next year. They really seem to put outstanding ideas and quality into their tools. Grab these if you are on the fence or your rabbit ears are looking a little far from Easter.Plus these kinda look like the mousers from TMNT. And probably some Pokemon or monster from a movie...

I work as a heavy equipment mechanic. These are great for the heavy copper cabling frequently found in large equipment. These cut up to 2/0 with some effort needed. Also these work great for stripping the insulation. I would like to see a bit longer handles, and I think the comfort grip would have been a bit more comfortable.

If you're an electrician, buy these immediately!I've been cutting BX (MC) with them for a week now, and I can confidently say these are the most effortless, light, and handy cutters I've ever come across. I've owned the journeyman Klein's and the Greenlees.. wish I had found these sooner!We work hard enough as it is. These are worth the extra dollars for the level of comfort they afford.

Yet another great set of snips by knipex. I've been using them every day cutting wiring and hoses and zip ties out of semis and with these bad boys it makes the job on harnesses and airline bundles walk in the park. 7/8" battery cables.. no problem
