Took a chance on a cheaper starter because Cub Cadet wanted over 250$ for their starter. I got it in and compared it to the original, it was pretty much a perfect match and the configuration was the same. The old bolts from the other starter also worked, making remounting easier. Once done I gave it a test start and she started right up. So far I've had no problems and no complaints on this starter.

Finally after buying 2 defective and broken starters from a different seller on Amazon this one came unused, undamaged and is working perfect. My mower has a 22 HP engine and turns over and starts the way it is supposed to.This is the supplier to buy from.

I am very pleased with this starter, it fit my cub cadet, tractor perfectly, originally I was a little concerned because there were only nine teeth on the drive gear and the old starter had 10. After doing a little searching and watching YouTube videos, I found out that the number of teeth don’t matter. In fact the one less tooth gives it a slightly better gear ratio for starting. Only three bolts to install it so very fast and easy. All I needed was a 10 mm wrench.

So far so good, Im sure the first starter was a first gen from 2011. This one arrived fast and was a simple replacement. At the same time I put new spark plugs in and put a new gasket on one slow leaky rocker cover. Lawn tractor is running great!😀🤙
