Who knew you could walk around and burn weeds and grass out of the cracks and totally zone out while doing it! Works best on grass growing where you don't want it also great for lighting things ☺ï¸

I bought this for my husband to use to burn grass in our gravel driveway and parking area in Vermont. Even though you have to lug around a large can., it is better to use a large gas canister rather than the little little green ones because you would be changing them often.Follow the directions carefully for hook up and definitely use a tool to tighten the connection like they tell you. Initially, we just hand tightened it and of course it leaked but as soon as I did a final fraction of an inch with a wrench, it worked just fine. He had a great time with it and looks forward to using it again next year since, of course,, grass is resilient and grows back

I am comparing this to spraying weeds instead.ProsLightweight, easy to use. The light button worked very wellLikely more thorough, and weeds won't come backWorks very well for those hard-to-get weeds in the driveway seamsLikely more effective in shady areasMuch more fun!ConsIt takes longer, you have to hit each weed individually. And it can take up to a couple of seconds to get some weeds (in my case, grass clumps)I had some grass clumps (likely winter rye seeds) growing in rocks (desert landscape). This left a burnt clump. I'll likely just rake the rocks and it should go away. Not good to use where there are remaining dried leaves or pine needles (would need to rake these areas first). It was easier to use this in the shade so I could see the flame. At first, I think I was holding it too close to the ground.I wouldn't want one with more BTU's. Too much of a fire risk, in my opinion.I definitely did not want to use this under my pine tree unless I had thoroughly raked and removed the pine needles to prevent a fire hazard.

I love it! Never even knew such a thing existed until I happened to see a YouTube video demonstrating how to use various ones for weed control. I don't like using chemicals and the vinegar mixture I tried just wasn't effective enough. I was a little intimidated because I don't want to start any fires and burn down my neighborhood- always have a hose on standby just in case! So far I have used it 5 times and it's worked great: no problems getting it started, light weight to carry and hold, easy to use. Torched a plethora of weeds growing in the graveled area just outside my back porch, and am using it to take back flowerbeds that have gotten overrun with weeds. Much easier than weeding by hand because I physically cannot sqat or get down on my knees like I used to do. Highly recommend first trimming tall weeds down low and removing the debis before using this to go after the roots. As the weeds burn, they create quite a bit of smoke! One important thing I learned from watching a YouTube video is DO NOT USE TO BURN POISON IVY, OAK, ETC... Oils from these plants can be released in the air and when inhaled cause life threatening respiratory issues. It's also an effective way to kill the massive amount of ants that love to congregate outside my house before they can sneak inside. And, it's very satisfying to chant the names of those who've wronged you while burning those weeds! 😉

Shipping seemed a bit longer than I expected -it was about 2 weeks- maybe just off the boat (or plane)!Had a large amount of early spring weeds growing in gravel driveway! Would had taken days to clear by hand. Put the weed tourch to work, handled every thing I was looking for, even a few green leaf weeds were no match for "FIRE". In the areas with thick green leafy type, took some time to burn, but did clear them. Very happy with results! I will however read print closer, with photo show tank attached to burner, fine print said "not included" Thats my bad!! Worked two days, maybe 90 minutes over 2 days-tank was still going.

I have a larger torch hooked to a 5 gallon propane bottle that I use for larger jobs, but I found that I use this unit more often because it is so easy to use. I keep it hanging up in my garage and if I see a weed in the driveway or plant bed I grab this push the button to light the torch and destroy the weed. I would highly recommend.

The tiniest breeze blows it out and the weeds won’t burn. I put the fire on each for about 2-5 min. Some charging on the edges but not really burning at all. Weeds still seem alive. Would be faster and better to just pull them.

Best and quickest way to kill weeds, without chemical.

When lit it works well, but it the flame shuts off after approximately 5-10 minutes of use. Reigniting does not solve the issues as it will continually shut off every 30 seconds or so after that. If I leave it to sit for a few hours, I can then get another 5-10 min of use out of it. Disappointed .

Worked well at first and was very happy with the purchase, However, it stopped working after only a few uses.
